Knew I could count on you 😆
Steve Matthes once said something about it being tricky to make the number “8” look pleasing on a dirtbike and I totally agreed. It’s not a bad number per se, but the font really makes a difference with it in particular IMO
The 8 is actually the only complete number . The rest look unfinished.
Trying to figure out how a number can be "ugly."

Where did you find that info? Pretty sweet.
Number eight to me will always be Erik Kehoe.

I feel like it looks good in the old school fonts. In the fonts people use now it's not that great.
As a sidenote I wish more riders got creative with the number fonts like jo. That 30 looks sick.
I think it looks pretty damn good.
Looked great when RJ ran it. Agreed that he didn't have a very good year though...
Scott Burnworth ran 8
No love for Kim Ashkenazi 😅

2016 Townley's MXGP return

To me this is pinnacle MC, that Yamaha was drool worthy and No Fear was pumping out the best stuff in the game. Still would rock it to this day if they made it, such great colors across the board.
This is what I look like in case anyone was wondering.
All comes from my own database/website!
I still think to this day Plessinger should have taken it.
AP8 kinda has a ring to it…
fine... Ill watch Steel Roots 2 again
Pit Row
Did GL want 86 but couldn't get it?
This looks right to me. On GLs bike the 8 was too wide and looks strange on the side plate.
#8 looks fine.
How come you guys think 8's look fat but 3's are fine? They are the same width and shape
Number 8 looks very Euro to me. Put it on a Beta or the new HRC graphics and it looks like something straight out of MXGP from the late 90s.
