Of all the names you mentioned, Bagget was the only one to beat Barcia in the standings in the outdoors. That was 2012. In 2010, Barcia beat Tomac in overall results as well as 2012 where Justin beat Eli, Roczen and MM25 in overall results. In 2011, Barcia was out so that’s a wash.
You are framing this as if the reason Barcia didn’t win titles outdoors is because he went up against Eli, Kenny, and Marvin, but he beat all those guys.
Who did beat Barcia? The names you left out. In Barcia’s rookie season, he lost to Dungey, Pourcel, Metcalfe, and Weimer. In 2010, Barcia lost to Cabard, Rattray, Pourcel, and Wilson. In 2012, Barcia lost to Baggett and beat Eli, Kenny, and Marvin.
When Barcia did face Eli, Kenny and Marvin, none of them had outdoor titles, and only one of them went on to win a 250 title. The guys who did beat Barcia (and Eli, and Kenny) are the names you didn’t mention because they aren’t the names that went onto greatness (other than Dungey) so it wouldn’t serve your narrative.
Whether you like it or not, Deegan dominated the 250 class and your attempt to discredit it by virtue of his competition falls flat when you consider the above points. I’m becoming more and more convinced that the Deegan haters like yourself are just dishonest. A quick look at your post history shows that when it comes to Deegan, you are anything but fair and objective.

The gap I’m referring to is the media’s fixation on praising deegan for narrowing the gap between him and the Lawrence’s in terms of seconds.

It was pretty crazy the first couple of laps of moto 2 jett was slamming the brakes and being stood up trying to not run into the back of deegans rear wheel in the corners. Once prado dropped a couple seconds back after a few laps he was able to back away from deegan, but that was crazy to watch.

When he finally got in the ring with a real fighter he ran and fell like a frightened baby before getting his jaw broken. As far a role models go, this is not one of them. All fakery and bullshit and the fact that it is making clowns like him rich is deeply disturbing in general. All the other shit is just going to detract from him reaching his full potential. Lots of great role models in the sport to learn from. Start with Dungey. 32 straight SX podiums, start with that one. Yaa I don’t like Jake Paul at all but you can’t deny that he’s gotten the fighters he’s fought a big ass payday. Askren made twice as much fighting Paul than he ever made in a fight with the UFC. Woodleys biggest ufc payday was something like $600k and he made $2 mill fighting Paul. Mike Tyson made $20 mill fighting Jake Paul. Jake Paul’s a douche, but those guys are getting paid that’s for sure.
