Van de Moosdijk from 25 to 10, this is a good sign for Southwick.

Fuel pump issue in moto 1, then raced the 2nd moto on an entirely stock motor and got a 10th. Impressive!

Between this, fineis, cairoli.... I don't know, man.....

Not sure I'll ever be convinced that most of these guys aren't over training. Marathon runners don't run marathons during the week but these guys act like they're behind if they can't crank out a couple 30s on Tuesday.

If that's not the explanation, not sure why some of these guys are able to come off the couch and get these results.

Janik got 25th not bad for not having a team or sponsors, no team was listed , that’s original.  I expected 14-20 th but it’s. His 1st national & after 2 yrs off.

He said he was going to own the place.  That's the problem.  Every weekend he has been dropped.  The one moto he was close in Lakewood he talked shit again and then got penalized for cutting the track 50 times.  Then he was back to learning, then more shit talk.  He's a piece of shit as a competitor, but I am glad he's here so I can root for him to get worked.

Where and when did Deegan or anyone else say he was going to own the place?  I keep hearing this repeated at vital, but I missed...

When he wore an RIP Jett shirt at the season opening press conference and literally said he was here to win in multiple interviews. The one that comes to mind was the dirt shark interview. The shirt was enough without the comments. He didn’t say he was here to learn shit until he got dropped like a bag of dicks

I have not seen the dirt shark interview but it looks like the Moth quoted it verbatim and it's clear you are clouded along with the rest of the cheerleaders.

Here's how to know when a kid has gotten under your skin:

You made a false claim saying Deegan said he was going to come in and "own the place".  Objectively speaking, Jett's claim about beating MC's record is much more aligned with "owning the place" compared to Deegan saying he was here to win.  And then you twisted it into him saying he was going to own the place.  This speaks more about you and the cheerleaders than it does for a 20yr old who's getting under all your skin.

As for the Tee Shirt, I've yet to see anyone who knows the story behind it yet, so I'll wait...as I've said, I don't support the choice to wear it, but it's clearly working as it's already cost Jett money this year.

You guys have had two good riders in the last nearly 20 years, and you think Australia is the sum and substance of the motocross world? Before the Lawrence’s, the last title that was won was Reed in 2009, and Australia has zero World Titles. Meanwhile, America has 23 MXdN wins, 6 World Titles, produced the GOAT (RC), the greatest sx rider of all-time (MC), and has won by far the most AMA outdoor and sx titles.

I’m not sure people around this place know what the downvote button means. It seems that when it comes to Deegan, anything stated that is factual is downvoted.

Maybe it helps them to ignore reality, or at least feel better about ignoring the facts.

Bro, he is not under my skin.  I even said I am glad he is here and even more glad every time he gets worked.  I think it's funny as hell his change of demeanor from moto to moto.  He goes from shit talking to dropping F bombs and then thanking Jesus....all with the shifty eyes.

Very impressive. Another nail in the "deep field" coffin if Roan can come off the couch and do that on a stock motor in a totally different country and race day format

Impressive yes. Just to correct u he definitely doesnt "come off the couch". He is racing ADAC MX Masters in germany and actually leading the series. The one who was coming off the couch was cairoli. His last race was in 25.

He's definitely under your skin if his head games and mannerisms bother you that much.  He's not picking up your daughter from prom, he's just a fast kid on a dirt bike who he grew up in a family with an image to uphold.  The image or head games aren't for everyone, but there are plenty of people who aren't bothered by it and can sit back and enjoy the show. Understand where he came from and it might not bother you some day.

As for the riders - I've been in casual environments with most of them and able to shoot the shit while drinking cocktails.  I can tell you most all of them are awkward socially because they never had a social life.  Even the guys you think are most 'normal' are still real awkward in a social setting.  This is not surprising considered they have been sheltered to dirt bike tracks their whole lives.

Just let them enjoy it before the entire Lawrence family becomes citizens of this cucked country like reed, roczen, and all the rest do.

Here we are, a day later, and the chirping is still extra this weekend. Jett and Deeg fans are beginning to blur into one multi headed monster of its own. It must be nice having a rider to defend because over here in the Chase corner life is abysmal.

It lies somewhere between the Dunning-Kruger effect or Sturgeons' Law.  Actually both.  Which I why there's only a few of us here to inform them of the hard data that's apparently impossible for them to digest.

It's amazing how many are clouded here by their obsession to one so-called invincible rider, and their hate for another rider.   But I'll intentionally misuse the Pareto Principle for that ratio.

Between this thread and the pile of them in the Dumbgeon, someone sure is feeling way more high and mighty than the rest of us. Massive superiority complex. Take a break from the forums and maybe have a few edibles to calm yourself down?

2 things can coexist at the same time. Deegan is absolutely a phenomenal rider. No one can deny that. The guy has determination that very very few possess and the ability to push beyond limits even fewer do. If that was all that there was to see, EVERYONE would be putting that man on the highest pedestal they could find.

The dichotomy is that he (and his family) represent what the majority of us view as a microcosm of the worst of our society once Haiden steps off the track. Haiden is the definition of the "Ugly American" the rest of the world wants to stereotype us as.

It comes down to 2 choices. If you can overlook the latter then cheer him on. The majority of us can't, or won't. I sure don't want to live in a society where everyone acts like the Deegans. IMO cheering the guy on reinforces the act off the track, and I can't go for that. Hence, I want to see him fail.

If the Deegan family decides they need to do a twist and he goes full babyface I will cheer him on. Until then, not supporting the douchebag act.

The 7th in Moto 2 was legit, think he started just inside the top 20 and was about 15th at the end of the first lap then worked forward. He's on a satellite team which is a much bigger disadvantage in the 250s and he moved forward past a bunch of factory guys. He's easily been the best non-factory rider this season.

Even with a Moto DNF, he's less than 20 points behind Romano, who everyone is saying is a "storyline of the year" contender that should be getting the full PC ride. I'm not saying that to discredit Romano, I just think it highlights how solid Mumfy has been

So would this be considered yet another weekend of ‘improvement / getting better / closer’ for Deegan? Discounting his moto one crash which was just bad luck, from where I’m sitting he’s just as far back from the leaders as always.

When’s all that big pre-season talk finally going to come to fruition? He’ll have Coenen in the mix at Southwick so that’s very likely to be another position down.

In case you don’t know he’s sitting 3rd in points. I’m sure you probably think 3rd in points in the top level of Moto is terrible...

He'd be 4th in points if Prado's KTM didn't give up a Moto. Ya, that's really good, but a long way from what he said he was gonna do..

When are we going to see a 125 emx  & a 250 emx style race on Sunday ?  The riders that didn’t make the main in the 250 class .  Maybe 15% of the track revenue for a cash purse .  That would help with the huge expense of doing a national.  This is America we want more racing.

That's simply not true.  He bashed other riders in the beginning mostly, but also gave props to other riders many times from the podium.

For 450's, I hear him saying what he thinks, while also stating that he's not fast enough yet, and that the Lawrences are faster than him, for now.

For 450's, I hear him saying what he thinks, while also stating that he's not fast enough yet, and that the Lawrences are faster than him, for now.

“I saw Jett looking back, he’s scared.” “I was gaining on him all over the track.”

Hey Mr. New Guy with your 3rd account,

I hate to break the news to you but Deegan was gaining on both Jett and Hunter on approx 30% of the track, after removing the cheater sector.  Deegan was pissed because Jett cross jumped him.  And yes, Jett did cross jump him and HRC camp is aware he did, but everyone here seems to be making more excuses for Jett than Jett would make for himself.
