I can tell some of you have never been a father. At least not in ways that some Dads love their son or daughter. I agree that at some point you have to cut the cord, but maybe Chase still needs his father's support in certain areas.

Agreed. It's the toughest, most bittersweet aspect of being a parent. Essentially, your job is to raise your children to the point to where they no longer need you. The greatest honor is when they choose to keep you in their lives as adults.
It must get real complicated for moto dads who's kid makes it to the very top, especially if they are employed as the rider's practice mechanic, manager, etc.
We've seen good examples and bad. It's gotta be difficult to get this one right.

Hate the way people get criticism for being ‘banged up’. The crashes Chase has had, that we have seen, are nasty. Just because he gets up, doesn’t mean he can rip on a dirt bike and challenge to win races the next weekend. So much speculation. Eating shit at that speed is bad. If you are out of the title hunt and you need to recover, take some time off.

Jett was back in four months; I think six is more normal which would put Chase in position for 2027 supercross although there’d be a question over his race readiness.
