I’m sure I’ll get the shit flamed out of me and that’s fine this is simply my opinion. Jett looks to me like he threw the race for Hunter. He looked to me as if he managed second exactly like he does with the lead. My guess is after the last couple races he realized that Hunter would not win a race all season and possibly even get beat by Dumb boy.as the season progresses, so he saw am opportunity and used it. 

Jet was obviously looking back and cross jumping again today to keep Deegs behind him.

If your a true fan of this sport. You will jump up and down. Wether  you like him or not , if he can can beat them even if just one time. How exciting. Then the next week we can watch and actually not know who wins. 

That's not a reasonable comparison.  For one, Deegan is just better.  J law won one title.  Deegan also helped out davies with a plane when he was hurt.  Lawrence did the opposite , stiffing his yot mechanic with a 20k+ rental car bill after he destroyed it.

...I mean he probably will at some point, statistically. We have many of the best riders on Earth in our national series and he runs near the top. 

Regardless, he's the only rider I'm sick of hearing about whether he wins or loses, and I don't think I'm in a minority. The kid is just so unlikable it's crazy. Digging at people's significant others for clout is just trashy. Of course if you say that you're just a "hater" or have "Deegan Derangement Syndrome". Yeah okay.

I can't reconcile hearing moto media people say we should wholesale get rid of privateers to make AMA MX/SX more "professional" like F1/MotoGP/etc. while also claiming Deegan and his WWE antics are "good for the sport". Those two things attract mutually exclusive groups of people...

 

What if this rookie scored a 450 moto win and what if this rookie won every 450 moto of the season are such wildly different goals it's insane.

On the flip side, I got 100% SICK of hearing Jett is a generational talent and an alien when he came on the scene.  The media forced him down everyone's throat so much that I just don't like the guy and want SOMEONE to beat him.

I believe Deegan will continue to improve and eventually get a win.

When Chase would "try" and challenge Jett, it was ok to root for Chase. When Eli raced Jett, it was ok to root for Eli. If Hunter races Jett, (and beats Jett, it's ok). In the past few years, these are the other 3 who have challenged Jett and we all wanted to see, or want to see them challenge Jett. 

But lo & behold, the 3rd fastest 450 rider who is improving vastly week after week, and happens to be a rookie, is dreadfully sometimes challenging Jett! Or at least keeping him honest.

We already have seen each track is going to bring something different. Like Haiden having Hunters number at Thunder Valley for many laps to Hunter being the guy at High Point. From Jett winning by 20 seconds at Thunder Valley over Deggs to besting Deegs by 4 seconds in moto 2 at High Point.

Just like I rooted for Chase especially challeging Jett, and how I rooted for Hunter at High Point, I welcome Deegan in the 450 class to challenge Jett.

All it is, is a different rider this year bringing a small challenge so far to Jett, but what I feel is different for the Jett fans totally hating this challenger from the other 3 isn't his mouth as much as it is the real threat. And since they know this time this threat is longstanding, and real and ain't going away, they really hate this challenger. Because like the rest of us, they didn't know what to expect from Deegan. Was he going to be a 5th place guy? A 7th place guy.?  No he came out really good in his first 450 race ever. He was an instant podium threat. He's running 3rd in points.

He's already challenging Hunter. He's kind of challenging Jett. Now! And its got them scared, pissed and hating that son of a bitch!! They can't believe how much that damn kid is improving every fucking week and they're scared, and pissed and hating some more.

It's really good shit. I love how its going and the guy I'm rooting for is losing to Jett every week. And I still love how its going. Because Deegs is better than I expected.

Deegs didn't start his childish antics when he got on the gate with the Jett.  That's been his MO since day one. Also, I personally want to see Jett challenged.  Not because I want Jett to lose... But because I want to see racing. However, if the challenger is an immature, cocky, braggart, I'd rather the challenger eat a big plate of crow.  I wasn't a fan of Jason Lawrence because of the same immature antics. Deegs work ethic is admirable. His sportsmanship, on the other hand, is straight from a movie where they attempt to over emphasize the good versus bad (like The Karate Kid.) In short, I don't think Jett fans dislike Deegan because they're die hard Jett fans.  Deegan's antics are what make folks root against him, regardless of who "their rider" is.

Deegs gets it from Brian. It is what it is. But he could be a pudgy jelly roll kid who has rich parents and didn't do shit with his life. But instead, we got this kid that is majorly driven. Driven to win a race. Driven to win a championship. Driven to win and dominate the 250f class. And so far, I haven't seen that drive fade. It appears he's driven to leave a mark in the 450 class as well. Is that to win a race?. To win a championship? I don't know. But from what I've seen so far, he has an intense drive to be the best in the 450 class. He's got a tall ladder to climb. But I'm not counting him out.

I'll put up with the antics, because it's going to get good!
