Third is great for a rookie in the series, except for all the trash talking like he's going to crush everyone when he joined the class. That's what gets him all the hate. Alessi didn't really trash talk as much, but the "Believe the hype" stuff really brought him down.

I do not really care for him for reasons that are some what out of his controll up intel he became an adult. His dad and mom are not what people would call role models as parents. They are successful but that does not male them good people. Bryan was fast enough to have a factory ride but his attitude made it so no team was willing to deal with him. Hayden with his talent and the way things are now this generation vers the generation Bryan raced in he gets away with it.

I didn't follow Metal Mulisha.  I don't know what Brian Deegan was like at that time.

But, I'll tell you this.  I like the way Brian and Marissa are supporting their kids.

Everything gets blamed on Brian.  What I see is a patient Dad who goes to every race, and sowed into his kids' lives for years.  Marissa is there often too.  What exactly do you have a problem with?  If my Dad was supporting me this way growing up, or even 20% as much, I would've love it.

Lots of people make money on YouTube.  Why is it bad for the Deegans to do it well?

I also see the 5 of them as a close knit family.  That says a lot.

If anything, they're setting a good example, Seriously.

If you disagree, don't simply down vote my post.  Respond with some real criticisms.

Sheesh!  Even Pastrana squashed his beef with Brian.  Inviting him to jump at the Whitehouse was no small thing.

I'm going to say it.  Brian's a good dude, and a good Dad.  Props to Marissa as well.

all good and fine, but the character isn't there. example of good character wasn't set. he went to dazzy and told him it was all a schtick and it was all good between the families and dazzy told him to fuck off. authenticity matters, you know?

johnny tomac, dazzy have character by all accounts. brian not so much. but hey, money is more important to some people, it is what it is.

Would you monetize your kid's childhood from the time he was small and had no choice in the matter?

Would you teach him to have a duel personality and act like an asshole in public just for clicks?:

Would you tell him it's okay to cheat consistently throughout his career in order to win?

There's your answer.

Outside of Pala, Lucas could be the first one to beat Jett. I actually think Hunter is taking a moto win at High Point, though

I’m most interested to see Southwick.  I know Lucas will be fast in the sand but Jett absolutely waxed everyone there last year; Tomac was 32 seconds back in both motos.

I have a feeling Jett is even better in the sand than we’ve seen.  He spent a lot of time in Europe training and learning technique at Lommel.

I suspect we are going to see Lucas and Jett have a ding dong battle and leave everyone in their dust.

I'm so hyped for Southwick. You aren't wrong about Jett's sand prowess. He's always been dominating there. Since '22 he's dropped one moto there and that was '24 when he was dinged up after Hangtown. I'll be interested to hear Lucas's thoughts on the track

I expect the Coenens will excel at, and enjoy, Southwick more than Hangtown, but like teamddr said ^^^ they’ll probably think it’s not a real sand track.

Lucas is on a different level than 38.

Let me preface this by stating that I’m not a fan of the Deegan circus.  That being said, if anyone is bummed out about getting smoked by Lucas while on holiday last weekend, it shouldn’t be the young guy who is 3 races into his 450 motocross career.  It should be the multi-time world champion who was sitting next to him under the orange awning and riding the same bike last weekend.

Southwick is similar to the most recent GP at Latvia, sandy but a bit solid underneath.  Lucas easily handled all the best GP riders there including sand specialists like Herlings and de Wolf.

Weird coincidence that we made fun of Euros for wearing Under Jersey chest protectors until We are all started wearing Under the Jersey and now the Euros are beating our asses

I would expect Lucas to be better.

  1.  He is in his second year in the 450 class
  2.  He doesn't spend 7 months of the year training and racing Supercross

Younger than Deegs, first time in America, on a new to him KTM - USA chassis/engine spec and riding somewhat conservatively to protect his MXGP day job points leads.

Both Coenens were VERY impressive. And please don’t use the track shortcut penalty as an excuse. He clearly ran the markers over then said there weren’t any and cut it short. It was a huge time advantage that nobody else was using the entire race.

That can’t feel good for Deegs.

You are right in everything you said but you left out that Prado and Hunter were penalized for the same thing. Go ahead and say that they didn't do it as many times, they still did it and you failed to mention it .Lucas has had 10 wins in the 450 class since moving up  in 2025 . This is Deegs first season racing outdoors in the 450 class and he's sitting 3rd in the point standings. The Coenen Brothers are really fast  and I hate to say it but I think they could come here and win

I hope they do.  I want to see someone beat Jett so I don't have to watch everyone else race for 2nd place for the next 10 years.
