I’d say Honda has a whole lot figured out on those bikes. Bar none. Starts. Overall power. Traction out or corners and in the whoops. Can’t state how important Trey Canard is to that bikes performance. And there has to be a whole lot of others at Honda that also need the credit. Those bikes are well tuned overall.

I think Prado took a big hit mentally last week with the DNF. He was not ever a come from behind type rider in the GP’s, and he hasn’t changed his spots here in the U.S.A.  Very fast rider when he is mentally in it, but last week may have thrown a wet blanket over the outdoors for him. Hope not, he is enjoyable to watch.

Are we saying he might be a quitter ?

What’s up with Jorge

He came out swinging at pala but these past 4 motos have been underwhelming.

Didn’t watch a lot of him in GPs but from these motos it seems like if he doesn’t get close to a holeshot he just kinda mails it in?

I wanna see him in the mix! Dude can ride!

Also I agree with the sentiment that he won’t fight as hard since the dnf and bad gate deal at hangtown sunk his points hard.

That could definitely be the case. It's an interesting philosophy for a top rider. I feel like if it was Tomac, there's no way he lays up just because of a dnf. He would be going for race wins.

Have you heard James in the booth???  Do you realize how many words he "gets wrong" and mis-pronounces??  Yeah...that's why.  😒

Prado is not in good enough shape to push hard at southern and northern California tracks of course he is going to struggle more at elevation.

He's actually saying Prado, he's just not enunciating his O.

It's like people who say "watta" instead of water.

Oh how dare you critique JS performance in the booth, soon people will question what you have done on a bike..

Why does Jetts bike look like an 85, he looks massive on it, might just be the angle, but looks a little weird.

Where do you get that from? He was catching Deegs late in the moto before his bike blew up. You don't do that with poor stamina. Running 2.07 with 4 laps to go when his fastest was 2.05.

It will be same as in SX. If a win or good starts put him in position to do good, he will go for it. Otherwise not risk much.

Prado best starter ever might have to hand that over to Jett soon. Underestimated how good Jett is off the gate.

We are not seeing the GP´s prado and I doubt we will see it this season. He will push only on tracks that suit him, not taking many risks. At this point stay healthy for the playoffs and next sx season would be his main focus

Great point about Trey! His testing has obviously been invaluable to the team. I'd love to see Trey jump in a National. He still absolutely RIPS. Which isnt a shocker, he's only 35

He just gives up and quits.
No other way to frame it than that.
I mean he is super fast…..he’s always first to give up.

There is no “pack” in the GP’s.  MX2 gates have about 15 total riders.  Sascha was probably shocked to see 40 riders on a gate.

Prado = Sexton?

Fast as balls when the stars align but otherwise underwhelming?  In SX he would be top 5 and then a couple guys would pass him and he would drop to 12th.  Hard to understand.

I was shocked that he let Coenen smoke him as badly as he did.  I was also shocked that Marchbanks was able to run with him all day.  IMO, Marchbanks is the overachiever of the summer.  I wonder if just like Sexton, Jorge realizes that he's not going to be able to run with Jett, so he's just throwing in the towel..

Ian Harrison said he expects Prada/Prado/Pardo or as James puts it "Whore Gay" to be better at tracks back east so I guess we will see.

Starting device still engaged. I noticed that also. The fork travel is reduced but the rear is squatting under acceleration too; it makes for a strange-looking chassis.

As for Prado giving up, I don't think he's throwing in the towel just yet; simply that he hasn't had as good a day as he did at Pala. There are still 16 points-paying motos left that he can maximize.

If Ian was smart, he ought to consider swapping Jorge for Coenen.  He’s the only rider that even made Jett work for it last weekend.  Jorge’s never going to beat Jett, but he can probably go back to dominating Europe, especially if Coenen isn’t there.

He’s never been able to come through the pack.
His 450 titles were won with the heat races wins. He would Holeshot and sprint for 20min and win them. Personally I don’t think he was ever the quickest during the Sunday races although he won races, he was never the quickest rider in my opinion, I’m sure there will be plenty disagree.

Is this a cut/paste from June, 2025?

He's been underwhelming to say the least. And I don't mean 2025. I've been defending the guy the whole time but he's not exactly lighting the world on fire right now. Not sure what it is. He's better than that. Lucas coming over and smoking him straight up kind of proves that we're not seeing anywhere close to 2024 Prado. What Lucas showed yesterday is exactly what everyone expected from Prado. Not necessarily beat Jett because that's nearly impossible. But at least be close. And beat the rest. And definitely beat the rookie that's still figuring out the 450.

At this point I dont think he wins a moto this year. I would have said Southwick but if Lucas is there I'd bet on him.

Underwhelming? I’d say Prado’s been just about anything, but that… We all know that he struggled on the Kawasaki in 2024/2025 having never being comfortable on the bike. But, since switching back to KTM he’s managed to get four top 5’s in Supercross and already has one podium in Motocross this season. Additionally, his Starts have tremendously improved since being back on the Orange bike. To get these results, in what has essentially been his first full-year racing Supercross (Prado only raced four preview races in 2024 and missed 14 races in 2025 due to injury) is pretty damn impressive to me.
