Since when have the nationals been 100$ a person... jumping jehosafats.. these prices have me flabberghasted for a family of 4.. I paid less for the denver supercross that was only 35$ a pop... who is pricing this stuff?
I checked Hangtown, Thundervalley and Mt Morris.
I'm looking to use my military discount for thundervalley if anybody has any locations besides vettix and govx.
MX Sports is ruining motocross.
Hard to believe general admission for an outdoor race is $100 per person. Is that the weekend rate or just one day?
Edit: nvm, I see on the website the adult rate for Saturday with pit pass is $100.22…!
Crazy for a venue with porta John’s and no seating. Big Dave is rolling over in his grave…
I believe it was $30 for the 2001 Washougal national. 40 if you wanted to camp.

The sport done growed👌
this guy called into pulpshow this week bitching about all the ezups at pala and he's right. its too much. if you dont pay for vip its too much of a pain in the ass to pay what they want for tickets at some/most/many venues.
I looked at the cost to camp for the weekend at Mt Morris. I about passed out…. And it was Sold Out!! That is in addition to your entry fee. Unreal ! Yes, MX Sports is making some coin on these events.
I remember paying $70 for 2 tickets in 08. $100 at a supercross gets you club seating with better dining options, better bathrooms, cushioned seats, and indoor viewing if you need to be inside; not to mention a pit pass for a $4 monster can. I'll still go to a national, but $100 to walk around the terrain just to see over dumb banners is ridiculous. Like everything these days, I can't wait for the bubble to burst and the greedy get what they deserve.
This is an actual photo of that mxsports guy, leaving a national…
Tim Cotter is ruining it.
We use to get backdoor tickets with all day pit passes for $80.
I'm 20 min from the gates at Hangtown, 16-18 if I hit all green lights. Haven't been since '22, and that was only to see Cairoli in person, don't intend to go back. My couch has a better climate, better viewing on Peacock, and all the beer I can drink for under $20 just 10 steps away.
I've been attending forever. I will not pay that price. If they'd have said $65...maybe. Nope.
I tore a ligament in my wallet several years back at Pala and was never the same, so I retired from attending since. Not saying I'd never attend a National or SX again, but I'd probably have to have a few mixed drinks, beer or coffee in me first.
I'll be turning 61 in 3 weeks and I've never a had mixed drink, a beer or a cup of coffee, so...
How about those World Cup Soccer ticket prices, lol!
I did think it was odd that at Pala, people—mostly campers—had EZ-Ups set right up against the fence, with caution tape around them to secure their space. I guess it’s fine, but it really hurts the viewing experience for everyone else. Even on the backside of the track, people had EZ-Ups covering the hillside. The fences were nuts to butts, five people deep. For the price we all pay, plus parking fees, you’d think we were attending a luxury event. Oh well—this is the life we choose, I guess.
There should be rules against that kind of horseshit. Completely unfair to everyone else trying to watch the race that doesn’t have an Ez up.
100 dollars a person to look at a sea of sprawling banners lining the track obstructing the ability to watch the riders.
I’m going to play devils advocate here while admittedly not knowing all of the facts. I’m just hypothesizing based on information that we know.
I don’t think it’s too far fetched to consider that the price increases are what’s needed to keep everyone involved in the green or margin whole.
It’s not a shock to anyone on here that the cost of everything has gone up substantially in the past 5 years. Insurance, taxes, permits, labor, equipment, and maintenance on said equipment have all been sky rocketing since the start of the pandemic. Some of these tracks also have to do a lot of work around the facilities to get ready for these nationals each year. Much of the material used to do this is with imported goods that have been subject to substantial tariff pressures since the start of 2025. Tack on the cost of fuel right now and it’s just one big perfect storm.
The cost of doing business has gone up substantially since 2000, so we can’t use that as an apples to apples comparison to justify why tickets should still be $30 or whatever they were 25 years ago.
Does it suck? Yes. Do I think there are just a bunch of greedy jerks out there lining their pockets more than they were before the cost of everything went up so much? No, I don’t.
Now just imagine what the cost of tickets would be if they increased the riders purse….
People aren't going to like this, but there's zero effort being done to grow the fan base and race attendance... effort is, however, being put into getting more money out of the core fans.
"Juice the faithful" is the business model now. It is what it is, but that's definitely what it is.
Pit Row
Fair, but to take away majority of GA viewing to create “VIP” or “preferred viewing” for $150+ more a ticket is pure greed.
Even though you’re not wrong. Most people would kill for a Nat 20 minutes away
Remember when "mainstream" was going to ensure that every guy that qualified was getting a decent payday? Yeah, those were good times....
I have an EZ-UP tent. I’m just not an asshole who would use it to block others out. They shouldn’t be allowed along the fence. I know some tracks have designated areas for them and I’m fine with that. But people rushing out to set them up to fuck everyone else over is just an asshole move.
They couldn’t stop you from standing underneath their tent but you’d likely get in trouble for the fight that would ensue by doing so.
Maybe their habits have increased.
$100 and don’t forget the convenience fee. Oh and I suppose you may want to park your car too?
$100 bucks to sweat your ass off and walk 20 miles lol idk how they can justify that price for a national when SX ticket prices should cost more than a national imo
Hey it’s $300 bucks to park your car at SoFi stadium for the dumb World Cup of soccer!!! How insane is that?
Don't forget about the bargains you get from the vendors. @ Pala.. 1 Churro was $15, A fuckin Churro.
I skipped the Pit Pass and it was $74 for an adult general admission and $32 for a youth pass. That's not crazy for a world-class level motorsports event.
Funny story- my first time at Hangtown in 2017 I had just moved here and parked in the parking lot and walked over to the track, somehow walked in without paying with my kid. A UTV was coming by and this woman offered me a ride. Turned out she was part of the ownership team and I told her the story and at first she paused then said "ok, you're just here to check it out with your kid." So my first time I got in free.
...Myron needs your Churro money to keep the BarX rig full of 7 dollar diesel?
And just think, a reserved seat in the lower level for a Supercross 46 years ago was only $10 including tax.
