I do have to say for round 1 the track was exceptional and well prepared ! I noticed that the signage wasn't over done along the side of the track too.
Different lane lines looked to be pretty equal so passing was difficult but still could be made making the charge from the back of the pack even more difficult.
Nope. It’s Ass. Pala sucks.
Outdoors being badass made it a tolerable opener, but Pala sucks.
Didn’t look hard packed like I would’ve expected
Bring GLEN HELEN back!
Have you listened to any of the rider post race interviews? Every rider said the track sucked and it was the worst they’ve seen the track.

Track sucks. I’d rather see two rounds at any other track instead of them going there.
wdym "for round 1", like is it okay for a first track in a series to be less good? I dont understand. I thought it was okay, tho most of the pros dont seem to be a fan of Pala
The track layout looked the same as last year. Kind of bland.
Pala sucks a HUGE ASS dick.
The track was awful. Pala is a lame track to begin with. It’s not worthy as a MX national track imo, and with there only being 11 of them they should all be exceptional. The prep was also horrible. Super deep, wet, slick and sloppy for qualifying, and then a choppy mess for the motos. The track looks like it’s begging to be a fairly smooth hard pack track built for high speeds, basically the exact opposite of what they prepped it for.
Air horns weren't banned from what I saw. They were selling them for $160'. The guys by us (The corner at the east end of the track by the bottom of the hill) must've spent a grand) A few blasts when the leaders come by is fine, but the constant blaring from the 12 yr old looking kids with their fingers on the triggers like zip ties got old quick.
I agree on the prep. We're in So Cal, it's a desert. Prep it like Carlsbad ! 😄. So what if the track is hard packed and blue groove that's what it is. Every track doesn't have to be waist deep potting soil. (Although they're probably safer)
Bring back Unadila grass track.
watch Matty B's post race track walk vid. A lot of the sections looked like Elsinore
I just hope DC is happy that’s all that matters
It's better now than when they raced there twice in the same year, but it's not Glen Helen.
Us old guys can wish but ………
IMO 1 line hard pack sucks make it rutted with multiple lines is a million times better.
its horrific shit and mx sports needs to find a way back to glen helen.
I'm convinced everyone has been told to rip every track deep and turn them into rutcross to bring speeds down. Doesn't make for great racing IMO but that's the only option they have as bikes keep progressing. The great races of the past with guys wringing every ounce of power out of the bike and moving all over the place trying to get around each other aren't coming back with the bikes we have now.
Not a fan of flat, man made tracks with no natural terrain being part of the Nats. Looks bad on tv too, imo. Just a barren piece of land with no green.
At least Glen Helen has some elevation.
Pit Row
it’s a 2 way street brotha , I’m sure DC & crew has tried but wtf can they do when bud is being difficult, as rude as this may sounds , like I say with the Dallas cowboys , the cowboys will be better off when jerry jones is out the picture & hands the team over to his sons who actually know more about football talent than jerry does , same thing with GH , once bud out the picture & GH is under new ownership, it’ll prolly be back on the pro circuit
Might actually work the other way in this case…pretty sure GH ownership is waiting out DC and MX Sports 😀
Fox has lots of money. MX Sports likes lots of money. Pala ain't going anywhere, no matter how shitty it is. Having the season opener at your track I am sure carries a steep price tag just for the rights to say so, and Fox can afford it. So, here we are...... You would think a place with that kind of financial backing could at the very least find some other ways to get in and out of there a bit better for a national size crowd. I can't remember any other threads being created on here about other tracks, with the traffic mess that Pala has...... You would also think a classy outfit such as Cotter and company would have a set of standards for track access, parking, etc, that all national level tracks must meet at a bare minimum..... Fans deserve better for what they pay for.
Bud is not the problem.....
from the outside looking in , hearing both of their stories, both sides are equal at fault , their some questionable things on bud side & theirs some questionable things with DC & crew , either way u look at it , again as I stated , DC tried to make a good effort in coming to an understanding but shit still went south , so this is where we at in 2026 with GH still not on the schedule, i personally would love for it to be back on the schedule BUT it is wht it is 🤷🏾♂️ I myself & the rest of yal still goona watch the series , we can debate on wht track is the best & all this other shit no problem but no track should be bigger than the actual series when we have all this talent lining up on the gate we get to watch on a week to week basis
Worthless. Unfortunate that glen helen will never come back with that egotistical douche that runs it. But we gotta get out of Pala.
Environment of the track looks ass but the racing was not bad, passing back and forth
It's as bad as some of the worst GP fly-away rounds. It's truly a shit race, i cannot understand how "we" have allowed this to be the California race in this championship.
You obviously missed the Gypsy pods with DC and then the follow up with Bud…..Buds the problem…
Real racing starts at High Point.
I don't hate Pala like 99% of the feedback but that said I REALLY wish Glen Helen was on the schedule.
Post a reply to: 1st national What do you think about the track?
