How did RC and stew do in their first outdoors 450 race?  there ya go. Needs to work on his starts this week. I see a podium soon.

RC went 1-1 at Glen Helen in 2000.
Stew went 6-DNF in 2005 at Hangtown.

I thought he did great . Hes not in the business of getting slower . 20 seconds behind the leaders is nothing for him to figure and over come .

This slamming of Deegs parents thing is a little weird to me..

None of us actually know what they are really like, but if you take it for what it is, they are a very tight family, raised successful kids. The family is still together and they are all supportive of each other. you don’t get to be in Haidens position without good guidance.

You don’t have to like Brian Deegan or the metal mulisha, But as a family they seem to be fine, I don’t understand why they always get dragged into it..

Many of the riders come from broken families, Jason Anderson had domestic abuse issues, RV’s family relationship was a mess at one point. From the outside looking in the Deegans are doing just fine.

Well, since Brian walked up to Dazzy a couple of years ago and told them not to take it personal because it was only for clicks a views I have no problem to critique the parents to.

They are so heavily involved in this so if they were against this type of behavior they would let the little shit know it.

As soon as he runs his mouth plenty of fans and people in the industry say that Brian is behind it. You can’t eat the cake and have it.

I know plenty of parents that would tear their 20 year old ”kid” a new one if they acted like this brat.

And if the parents is fine with his acting, social media posts and riding at SMX, at least the team should beat some common sense in him.

Brian really did that?

5/31/2026 5:56am

He did fine. Maybe a bit underwhelming. I did think a win was possible on this track.
Was cool to see him get smoked after all this yapping. But honestly he was good enough where we can say he has what it takes to win races this year

Yes, and Dazzy told him to fuck off.

For some people life is not an act, things you say and do get consequences.

if he had come into  the nats saying "Man, I'm just going to do my best and just learn from these guys cause they're insanely talented. I hope I can get in and battle, but at the end of the day, I'm just going to try my best"...

instead of...

wearing a t-shirt saying "RIP Jett" and "I love Jett's gf" and acting like an insufferable little prick...

Then we'd all be saying "Hey, that was an impressive showing". Instead most of us smile at his struggles and are praying for Barcia to launch him.

True. The last SX round he was totally fine and owned getting owned by Davies and people still yapping about him. He is in an eternally lose-lose situation. Even if he goes 1-1 this year it will be "Jett isn't 100%" or whatever else.

Its clear after today he has the race pace that if he gets starts figured out he could 100% win races. Im not saying that likes its easy. It isnt, but when he passed Jett and Jett picked it up, Deegan didnt get stupid out there. He respected the bike, the track, and Jett. He He also kept pace.

Outside of getting a better start, he did 90% of what anyone could realistically ask.

Jett put 10 seconds on Deegan in less than half a race in moto 2, with a bum leg. That is not keeping pace, not even close. But I do believe Deegan will get much much better.

He 100% kept pace. Where Jett is just an animal at making passes quickly. No one really compares. Deegan made the same passes but lost too much time doing so. His race lap times were on pace while coming through traffic. I mean, you can be the biggest hater in the world, but its really a fact. You can say the same about Chase. Chase had the pace as well just crashed out. I dont know why its so hard for people to acknowledge the actual race which is separate from his mouth.

Hunter looks good… Looked at how Hunter did over his first 15 races when he transitioned into 450 which he did during Supercross… Look how he did during his transition. Took Hunter 10 races to get on the podium and over 15 races to begin his appearances regularly on the podiums. Everyone has a different learning curve…

A 5th and 4th finishing behind Jett in both races is solid for Deegan. He actually ran a faster lap time than Jett in the first moto. Jett is super smooth and has had an undefeated season which says a lot. I’m not a fan of Deegan wearing that stupid shirt and some of his antics but I watch every Supercross and motocross races for years and raced several years back in the old days and was at Pala watching yesterday and I will say, Deegan is fast. And he will get much faster. His starts will get better and he will be standing on podiums regularly in the next 12 to 18 months if he follows a similar curve as Hunter.

I’m not a hater, I said I believe he will get there, he just isn’t there at the moment. He couldn’t stay with Jett, no matter how you want to slice it, and Chase even began catching Deegan after crashing. None of them had enough pace for Hunter who still had more left in the tank it appeared. Like I said, I believe Deegan will get there.

agree, but in moto 2, JL was on Prado's ass which means he would have caught/passed his brother if he had another lap or two. Deegs can play this however he wants after his 1st race, but he did pass Jett (amazing) but if I were in Jett's head, I guarantee you he said "Oh, hell no...." and passed Deegs back then dropped him by 6s.

Deegs will be Deegs and act like "no big deal" but I guarantee you that for perhaps the 1st time in his entire career, he has to admit to himself that he had nothing for AN INJURED Jett.

Ricky won his first ever race on a 450 in 2004. He also won his first ever race outdoors in 2000 when he moved up to the premier class on a 250. He also won his second 125 outdoor race at the season opener at Gotorback after debuting at the finale in ‘96 at Steel City. Deegan is no RC. Not even close. He did well at Pala and will only get better.

I find all of this fascinating, for real.  Its manufactured hype, akin to the lead up of a boxing match or fight.  Then they hug and dap it up after. I find it hard to believe based on what hes actually said before and after the race, that the Deegans truley thoight they were gonna go 1-1 and dominate. Its for his fans, that have followed him for years growing up. Its to promote himself, and the races he is in. He even speaks about increased viewership. Its working. Like it or not even the haters wanna watch to see him lose, and his fans wanna watch to see him win. Thats the point...meanwhile i bet theyre stoked on the result.

People love him or hate him but putting that aside, was anyone genuinely surprised by the results?  It was well within reasonable expectations.

Improving his weaknesses.

I think he did good in his first race.  Especially considering how he started.

All the mouth running is for clicks to make money,  plus he uses it for fuel.

Exactly. It’s not like he has always been as good as he is, especially indoors. His ‘squad’ is going to analyze the crap out of wherever he needs to work, and you know they’re going to grind and grind until they get the results.  They have perfected finding areas of improvement and fixing them (like him or not).

Bagging on him for a fifth place in the first round might be a little premature.  I’d say if he’s still talking smack like he does after the fifth round with the same results, it would be warranted.  People are knee jerking out of emotion and pleasure, I bet we see significant improvements next couple rounds,  doing what he does best, and silencing the knee jerkers.

I was at Pala yesterday. Very interesting stuff. So many takeaways that disappointingly aren’t being discussed here.

I’ll throw the Deegan Duranged some rage bait—I 💯 believe Deegs and Jett are the best two guys in the 450 class after what I watched. I have many reasons for saying that after seeing them up close.

Anyways, I’ll let the ladies get back to cat fighting. Enjoy.

Hunter’s first 15 finishes on 450

And if all pre season, Hunter had been running his mouth like an entitled, full of himself, Narcissist, I would have been laughing at those results. But the opposite is true.

I had Deegan down for a 5th and a DNF - smart enough to stay on - a good sign for his fans

Kid can ride - fast, but no style. Potentially difficult to speed up with that lack of technique. We’ll see.

I still predict he’ll find it too hard, and won’t get the results he want’s, and move on from MX pretty quickly.

Huh? Hunter moved up to the 450 at Pala in 2024 and finished 2nd to Jett. In his first 11 450 races, his worst overall finish that season was 4th (Washougal & Ironman).

PS: His digs to Jett his girlfriend are below the belt, I mean what would they think when someone would use one of the leaked nudes of Hailey to screw with Haiden?

Jett had half a leg, and still made this VERY little man eat shit. I fucking love it.

Also, I hope someone is making him swallow that stupid shirt right now. Little children need big lessons.

Villopoto went 1-1 on his debut.

Deegz got handled. Deal with it.

Man I wish I could get “handled” or “torched” to 5-4 Moto scores..

He did well and finished about where he should..

it's not about going 5-4, it's about all you sycophants chirping about how he was going to go 1-1. turns out he couldn't keep the leaders in sight....
