After quals here is what I think, which doesnt mean anything lol.
I think Hunter is the best case to 1-1 right now. I think Jett is STILL the fastest guy on the planet but I wonder how his endurance is?
I think Prado possibly podiums the 1st moto but I have YET to see him go the distance in ANY RACE on ANY Bike in the USA. Always seems to fall off?
I like J-Coop in this one with a top 3 overall. Just a solid ride for the day like he mostly seems to do.
I think with regards to Deegan, his strengths will eventually be his asset on the 450. I think he has the endurance and interested to see if moto 2, what he did late in the race on the 250 shows up here. Now I am not saying going from deep to 1st, but what I would like to see is gaining on the pack late in the race or pulling away. I think he is outside the top 3 moto 1 and a possible top 3 moto 2.
No clue what's up with Tomac. Probably a fluke or age is now a real factor.... Which sucks to see. Still a beast.
In anycase, the 450 class looks like SOOOOO much fun this year to watch. The champ working back to form. Young gun looking to back up his talk and the afterthoughts with something to say.....

He was very humble with his pre race interview with Big Lew. He acknowledged he's a rookie, its a building year. His first year on a 250 he finished with some wins. He would be stoked with a podium. And he's trying to hype up the race. I'm paraphrasing. Y'all need to relax. Plenty of time to shit on him when the actual races starts
I get both sides but I feel like if you are an adult you could easily separate the pre-game shit talk from the actual on the race track part. He said it the other day, he is just trying to get clips and get the hype up. 100% cool if you disagree but man the races are fun.

Contrary to popular shit talk, Deegan was never really the qualifying guy. Last year on the 250, he qualified 1st overall 4 times outdoors. Deegan is a racer. He has always, speed wise, been much closer to the competition than the race results would say. He is just a dog when the gate drops.

I'm the first one to subscribe to the hypothesis that Deegan brings in some eyeballs and hype, but too much of it is for the completely wrong reasons and i would prefer to see and hear none of it in the sport i love.
