Exactly, which makes this new statement pure comedy. He claims it’s all a misunderstanding now, when before he said clear as day that he accepted responsibility for hitting his wife, and being arrested for it more than once. He has a documented criminal history of domestic violence. Growing up with an abusive father, I’ll never accept a man hitting a woman for any reason. I still smile thinking of the ass whooping he got when I got old enough, may he rest in piss. Straight pussy behavior.

Wild that the ones involved can work through it and move on, but vital can’t. Keep asking for J-Law back though.

Everyone is a saint, none of us have ever fucked up. I've been with her for 48 years - never laid a hand on her,  but have said some things.

Wonder what's worse?

If he was kicked off the team due to allegations and now everything’s been dropped….that has to be breach of contract in some way ?

Where’s the vital attorneys to give us a better explanation of where he stands legally in this situation.

no he didn't. he said he takes responsibilty for his actions and was going to focus on his family. he didn't admit to multiple episodes.

Guy gets into argument with his lady. She's hollering. He grabs for a laptop. neighbor hears it and calls cops. She has a scrape on her arm, and BOOM - jail for Jason. Nothing more. You guys are wild and have zero idea how DV laws work in america.

Hate to say it but there’s obviously a correlation between his lack of self-control and anger management on the track and in real life.

We’ve seen him be the most aggressive rider besides Barca and more than happy to screw up his race to get back at another rider that “wronged” (see Malcolm Stewart in 2022). Not surprised he would let his emotions get the best of him again resulting in him losing his cool and lashing out at his wife, the same way he’s done countless times at the races (helmet grabs with Jett, Vince Friese debacle albeit justified since it’s Friese)

In 2022 Jason didn’t really do anything Malcolm, other than trying a singular aggressive pass at Arlington, Malcolm would just try to take Jason out every opportunity he got and after like the third time it got ridiculous. Malcolm’s also hated Jason since before then too, he famously flung himself and his Star Yamaha onto the concrete in 2021 trying to T-bone him

I would say hitting your wife is worse mate...

At any rate the strange blindspot toward domestic violence on this forum is odd.

You can go to one of the periodic threads about someone stealing a dirtbike and people are saying the offender's hands should be cut off, or they should be tortured, and so on.

But someone beating their wife becomes 'oh, it's their business...let them work through it' etc.

I think you're confused as to what makes a little man. Beating women and weaker people, or advocating for it, is what reveals who the 'little man' is.

If he was kicked off the team due to allegations and now everything’s been dropped….that has to be breach of contract in some way ?

Who gives a shit.   It is his personal matter, and none of our concern.  He isn't our neighbor, nor does he owe any of us an explanation......    He spoke, said what he needed to say, and life. goes on.  The matter itself does not have any effect on our lives, so let it go.  More gate drops to come, his family has stated they are going forward, as should we.

Most athlete contracts have personal conduct clauses.  I'd think credible allegations of domestic abuse would violate a personal conduct clause. Thus the rider would have no viable claim of breach for getting bounced, if that's what happened.

Look at what happens when a MLB or NFL player is accused of hitting or hurting their spouse/girlfriend.  Suspension, at the least, is quick to follow.

Interesting. You actually can respect a man who can’t defend himself against a woman without hitting her? Protect yourself, de-escalate the situation, leave if necessary. If you hit her as retaliation for being hit either you’ve kept your cool and have made a deliberate choice to hit her, or you’ve lost control. Neither are good. Either you’re an asshole or you lack a level of self control appropriate for an adult male. I’m not sure which is worse. In either case hat kind of guy isn’t my kind of guy. That’s the kind of guy who I wouldn’t piss on if he was on fire.

Well said.

I've had a woman hit me before (don't stick your dick in the crazy ones, fellas. Swiss chick, really fun until it was really not fun). I didn't retaliate, I just prevented her from hitting me, which is very easy, they're about as strong as your average 12 year old boy, then left when the crazy didn't stop.

It's a weak man who feels the need to hit a woman.

I didn't have a clue either, until I had to live through it. Had an ex that I caught cheating on me, so she decided to accuse me of being anything evil she could think of. Ate up 2 years of my life, a shitload of money, and just about drove me insane. Didn't end until the accusations got too wild/outlandish and she exposed herself. What's worse, is there's nothing you can do about it.

Words don't leave a bruise...on the outside, at least.

My ex's Dad told me something I needed to hear as a young, potential son-in-law: "They build back doors on houses so men can walk out of them, when they have to."
