Is that official? What about getting fired by the team over allegations of domestic abuse?

Nothing is official. He didn’t get fired, but he was asked to take some time to get himself sorted out. The alleged abuse charges were dropped by the DA, so did he do it? I don’t know, I wasn’t there, but they’re still together.

Oh, and just so we all know, he raced half a supercross series before he took off. He was arrested in December.

It isn’t any of my business and I don’t really care.

If I was that interested, I’d use the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) to obtain all relevant documents to the case.

No, but the cops were there.

'Police were called to a residential complex in Orlando after receiving an emergency call. The caller reported a situation in which a woman was allegedly being followed by a man.

According to the police report, the scene revealed an escalating argument between Anderson and his partner. The conflict reportedly stemmed from personal issues, including discussions about other women's contacts on his phone.

According to the woman, Anderson allegedly punched her in the side and grabbed her by the neck during the argument. The police arrested the then-current... AMA Supercross rider The arrest was made the same day. The accusation was... Battery (Domestic Violence) – i.e., bodily harm in the domestic environment.'

Following media reports, Anderson put out a social media post apologizing for his actions.

I’m sorry you’ve mistaken me for someone that gives a fuck….but you seem to be deeply immersed into someone else’s issues that don’t affect you in any way….

In a sport that has such a huge family and kids presence I am not sure if race organizers are going to be super willing to have him around. As big of a boost HEP got from Kenny having someone accused/charged with this is not a good look. But at the end of the day not my call. And he is a 10-15 guy at this point. what does he really bring??

The same ones hating Haiden Deegan are cheering for Anderson after all of this.

How dare you be rough racing Jo and talk smack with your competition! 😭 Ban him from the sport!!!

But beat your wife and they welcome you with open arms. Wow.

Can you point out someone that "hates" Haiden Deegan but cheers for Anderson after all of this? You may be right but I feel like you just made that up in your head and went with it.

Most of the biggest falls from grace in MX history (Ron Lechien, Jeff Emig, Jason Lawrence, Nico Izzi for example) came back or at least had the opportunity to come back. Talent at that level is so rare that there is always someone ready to step up with sponsorship. These are dirt bike racers, it's not like the bar for ethics is all that high.

People forget that Lechien and Emig, two of the most admired riders now, were complete pariahs at one point. They were cautionary tales. Examples of people that had it all but squandered it.

Apologies to the current constructive discussion and digging up a comment from 15 hours ago.

Emig got let go because Kawi didn’t want to be associated with the arrest. I wouldn’t classify him as a “pariah” though. I don’t think even 1% of fans had any ill feelings about him because of it. There wasn’t a single person in the paddock that looked at him like an outcast. He just got busted for shit everyone knew he was doing anyways. I don’t think it tarnished his image or legacy.

There are a variety of treatments for thyroid issues, if they've know that it's been a problem for two years, why have they not gotten it sorted? Any decent endocrinologist can figure that out with simple bloodwork and would start you on treatment right away.

Its not always that easy. I don't have a thyroid and trying to get back to where I was pre surgery has been a real struggle and my blood work comes back as normal and I'm a year into it. Everybody is different and not all doctors treat the same.

Sure, maybe not 100% but to have it be a large impact after two years is odd. Obviously medical issues take time, but just blaming everything on a thyroid issue is strange this far down the line.

It's really not. Thyroid symptoms can come and go pretty quick. Before I had surgery reading about people that had theirs removed and the recovery struggles and people that still have theirs, but its function really isn't there I felt the same way you do thinking their doctor just sucks or its them not making any effort to improve themselves and I got a pretty big eye opener from it. Now I'm not saying everything JA is going through is 100% that, but I don't doubt it could be.

What new information is there worth reporting on?   JA is taking time off and not part of a race effort.  How should that lack of news be covered exactly?

What you don't find it strange? Anyone top guy misses 1wk and the speculations run rampant, which I don't mind. It's all moto talk in the end.

The private side it deserves to be private. I'm more curious of the seemingly orchestrated media silence. Just seems weird to me that no one talks about it when we've got hours of moto talk every week from Steve, Weege, JT, DB, Track Talkers, Gypsy, Ping, Kellen, Lewis and more. I listen to nearly all of them every week and hardly a peep. Just seems weird.

Guess it would have been 1999.

Had a room at the MGM on the same floor as most anyone else connected to the US Open race.

Me and my good friend Billy were in the hallway, Fro ambled up. He knew us both. Wanted to talk to someone.

Said "man, everyone is down on me. Shit, they got me at 12-1 on the books."

I said, "Jeff, no one who knows anyone or anything is mad at you. You're good man. And I'm headed downstairs to lay my bet on that."

By the time I got there, odds had dropped to 8-1. I dropped a hun on Jeff, and another hun on whoever it was getting the start, straight up, vs. LaRocco. Didn't matter who, for obvious reasons, and don't recollect. I knows a good bet when I see one.

Next day, I had $1000 from the sportsbook and when I saw Emig, I tried to buy him a drink. He wouldn't have it, and bought me several instead.

Don't really have a point here, but I remember it pretty well.

There's another story that's pertinent, but nobody's business. Nothing to do with Jeff, but rather an arguably bi-polar chick that liked to throw things at me. You know, like plates with fried eggs and hashbrowns. The occasional fingernail rake to the face, if she was in the mood.

Ex-chick, of course.

Lotta judgmental can't imagine that motherfuckers on this board.

With Husky folding, I wonder if the added pressure on spots swings the pendulum a little here, and perhaps sees Jason not return with HEP?

Emig's win at the US Open was so huge at the time. What a comeback. Then he unfortunately busted himself up badly a short time later and that was it.

You don't think the team had anything to do with Anderson 'retiring' from supercross competition? You're very naive.

Dude…you said he got fired and now that you have been proven wrong you want to now argue semantics….again why do you immerse yourself and hate on someone for their personal issues that are none of your business….has he done something to you personally? Same with all the other riders you hate, WTF have they done to you? You’ve got issues of your own you should be dealing with instead of taking it out on riders you have never met on a message board….The majority of us on here appreciate  most of the riders and what they do on the track, maybe you should expand your view beyond one particular rider and you would probably enjoy the sport a lot more…
