So I’m assuming we will be seeing the Kawasaki’s by the end of the month.
450 - Supposed Chassis Changes, Engine Updates, Showa to KYB, Updated Plastics
250 - Haven’t heard anything, assume the same updates from the 450 will follow in ‘28
300 2t - The one everyone has been waiting to see, E-Start, KYB, Fuel Injection
I'm crossing my fingers that all of that is going to be true.
I hope they make the plastic look more like a dirt bike and less like a wanna-be high tech chinesium disaster.
How about E-motocross bikes Kawasaki promised to bring up before -28. Will they start with 65/85 size bikes?
I think the front fender and number plate will look similar to how the new 85/112 looks, as over recent years the supermini and the big bikes have shared the same front fender and number plate design.

hopefully they update the clutch so it doesn't explode. that'd be cool. @motomike894
That would be nice Balang
I think itll be the first half of june before they show anything. The dealers still have a lot of 26 and even 25 in stock. That means they wont want to order many of the 27s. So Kawasaki will wait until the new $2000 rebate on the 2026 450 will move some bikes, or the dealers will say no to the huge orders.
There is always a lot of consideration for things like that when releasing a new model. They want a new release to sell like hotcakes and that can't happen if the dealers aren't in a position to order any.
I wouldn't count on the 300 2T being revealed anytime soon. Our rep stated that they built one and it was dogshit, so they have went back to the drawing board.
I think the 2-stroke is coming. From what I’ve read, the proto was not dog shit. The issue was that the motor hit was not suited for XC. If true, that’s a simple fix. We’ll see.
They had issues with the bike, that's true. But that was a year ago. My dealer is still hearing they will be able to order in June.
My local dealer still has 25' SRs that they cant sell.
Best way to move bikes is for Chase to start getting on the podium.
Will Chase jump on -27 model during Outdoors?
I’d be surprised if he does given all the work they’ve put into the current bike. I guess it will depend on if the chassis update on the ‘27 might help with whatever issue they are hunting down.
If he starts testing it now it might suit him by 2029.
They might even ask for twisteds help in 2030 just before the next gen comes out….
Actually, he might be better off not testing. His best finishes were earlier in the season before he had time to screw things up.
Pit Row
I guess we'll see. My rep didn't sound too optimistic about it.
They are releasing a Sexton SR450. It comes with 20 different triple clamps an ignition with 600 maps 5 different gusseted swing arms. The list goes on.
Well Ryan Villopoto himself said on PulpMX pod cast about 2 1/2 months ago we’d see the 300 within 3 months from the time he said that
Levi said he has the kawi moto launch before outdoors starts on pulp. Didn’t go into detail so could just be pictures or maybe a full launch. Just thought it was relevant to this thread.
Wonder if Chase is gonna run the two stroke in outdoors this year?
With zero instructions on what each option does and how it might affect any other changes.
I heard a rumour Chase has signed a new 3 year deal. Year 1 on Star Yamaha, year 2 at Triumph and year 3 at Beta. Each team has agreed to pass on their data, settings and what components they tried each year to the next team to save space on their corporate hard drives. Part of the handover package will be a set of re-usable KYB fork and shock stickers.
Now thats funny! Good one.
A couple years ago, no one on the planet would've thought KTM would soon look like it was being run by wizards when compared to the perpetually nonsensical mismanagement of Kawasaki. And yet, here we are. Only one way to go now: up.
If they let Mitch run the 450 team, this would be a whole different story
LOL.
I don't know if you will see any big changes to the 450. The bike they are racing in the All Japan nationals looked pretty similar to the current production bike. Kawasaki generally sticks to 4 year cycles (5 on the last gen)
