Outside assistance? (Lucas Coenan)

Coenan has had a drama in the first lap of the first moto- it hasn’t yet been made clear what the issue was, but it looked like the chain might have been off the rear sprocket.

Two track officials helped him push the bike off track, then a minute later we see him back circulating.

So he hadn’t made it back to the pit area. We can only assume those two guys gave him assistance to fix the bike.

Is that allowed?

No, that’s not allowed, and everyone in the paddock knows that, hence why Dirk Gruebel wasn’t upset about the dq in the mid-race interview.

Oh he’s been DQ’?
I didn’t know that, I’ve had to leave to go get a Sunday roast in the pub.  I’ll watch it all later.

Surely they should black flag them if they’re DQ’d?

That will teach them to lean the bike so hard in left hand corners in super sticky clay.  Sometimes it pays to be a C class squid! 😁

I don't get it how the top riders, doesn't know they can't get outside assistance.

Getting bikes of track safely should be allowed, no one wants anyone standing in bad places trying to fix bike.

Coenen said in the post race that he didn't ask for help, a track worker just did it on their own...

He was too busy having a tantrum... Notice how Adamo just methodically wheeled the chain back on and kept on with his race instead of jumping up and down, pointing and yelling?

It's not easy to keep calm in a situation like that

No, but maybe he'll learn from it.

But just tell them not to interfere. They should also know. Anyway, he won't do that mistake again I guess.

Should be training for various situations like this that can appear.

He seemed quite happy to let them- he didn't appear to be trying to stop them taking his bike.

The cute little stomping tantrum was indeed funny.
