Great job by Gypsy and what a look at what a cool kid Jo is. No wonder nobody can hate him even Deegan. What an amazing and humble person. Gypsy's got a little bit of Bourdain in him in this. It's cool!

Jo embodies Japanese culture in so many ways.  He works hard to be honorable not to serve himself.  He said that his favorite part of winning the SMX series championship was the people around him being able to win…JOSHIMO4EVA!!!!!!!!!

I am a Deegan ( MX/SX skills only ) fan, but JO is a great rider, and an even better human. Really would enjoy seeing him win the outdoors this year !

Watched it last night- I really like this approach by Gypsy. I hope he continues doing more of these..

Jo is a good dude..A lot of success across his family.

Yeah good job by Gypsy. There are certain riders that just let their riding speak for itself, who quitely it get it done. He's just a very lilkeable guy all-round honestly, and difficult not to cheer for. And with the way he performed on the 450 at the MXDN I think he's going to be a force to be reckoned with when he moves up full time. Minor point but also fun seeing him speak his native Japanese. I've been consistently learning for about 6 months now.

It's literally FREE on YouTube and you couldn't watch it because of ads?

It's $13.99 a month for YouTube premium bro.

I loved seeing his home track. I wish I was lucky enough to have that track in my backyard but compared to the tracks that kids train on today, his track isn't very impressive. But I think that adds to his story even more. No special training facilities, just a rundown, narrow track located in a small lot next to some businesses. 10000041561000004158.jpg?VersionId=rzRuEj3mKqEu7b4w0C7510000041601000004162

I just watched a clip from the Osborne pod. He said when you're on top of a guy in BJJ it's just like riding moto 🤔

When they said Jo's dad was in waste management, I had to ask my wife if that means the same thing here as it does in the states (it doesn't).

Can't stand Gypsy but well put together documentary. Jo is one of my favorite riders and that confirmed what a nice young man he is. Media in our sport is pretty bad with the same stupid coverage.  Nice to see a behind the scenes presentation like this one.

" yeah, we're built different " ; Jo.

What's so striking is just how much tradition & ritual are part of the culture.
Jo is a breath of fresh air comparatively, not surprising he's so well liked.

& THE FOOD !      Bucketlist item ; an eating tour of Japan.
Polite golf claps for Jace - terrific job on this.

Question for anybody that follows the MX scene in Japan;

Is Deming still revered in Japan?  How much of the success of modern Japan is attributed to him?

This was a good watch, would be great to see Gypsy do one of these in the UK with Anstie or Wilson, or both

Good watch, but calling the final SMX 250 race with Dangerdink and Shimoda "possibly the most controversial race of all time" is absolutely ludicrous

My ears cancel out the BJJ talk lol but I’m sure a top BJJ guy is putting in a lot of gym work like a top moto guy, maybe that’s what he’s referencing?

Was kind of off of gypsy because of how cool he seemed to think he was but the 100 hours with Jo and Cole Davies videos are changing my mind.

Great job Gypsy.
