I think @Tumic is more qualified to answer that question. I recall they tried to build a 125 to compete in EMX125 series and created some internet hype almost decade ago. Their Facebook page is still online: https://www.facebook.com/husagren
No, it was ”legit”. I think that the inventor worked at Husky and Husaberg at some point, the guy was later Mike Healy’s GP mechanic for some years when he rode for Cagiva.
He tried to get some foundings here in Sweden by private people to build a bike and when someone mentioned that his ”Husagren” bike was just a old cr engine in a crf chassis he went sour and blocked them on Facebook.
There was never a chance to succeed with that project.
As for the other Swedish bike that has been posted here, the Highland bike I saw the 07 prototype that Martin Lind rode and tested. We trained at the same indoor track one day during the winter, he said something that the production cost of that prototype was around 100k usd, but he pushed that bike off the track more than what he rode that day.
Later most of the Highland board died in a plane crash and that project was put on ice.
Haha it pulls hvy modded yz,s in wet tacky deep sand on the start. And I was running 13 month old c12 in bulk. Fresh fuel I should be top 5 of 25 on the starts. From the hit it’s a Hyper rush of torque to 11k then it flattens out but still pulls. Remember this is the last National championship cr125 engine spec. With blue printing & now with a rem,d trans & coated gears. I,ll send ya a hole shot pic for a 100 bucks this summer. Ha
That KX is a thing of beauty.

OMG! I absolutely remember the YZ150F prototype pictures. Wow, its been a minute. I also remember them trying to decide if they were going to try a 150 or a 175 for that bike.
How about the seat on the YZM?
The new ktm ebike.
I remember that bike , so many trick bikes in the 90,s. Honda had an automatic transmission cr250 even.
I seem to remember those pics of the YZ150F being photoshopped for a magazine article… don’t think real images ever came out. Or am I remembering wrong?
Not entirely the same, but remember when this thing came out? This shook things up from the what could be done perspective. Totally unique and still not replicated.
A chassis Chase would love setting up.
🤣
KTM wasn't involved. That was a one-off built for swiss rider Philippe Dupasquier.
BBR 150 CRF
I tested that KX500SR. Thorpey didn’t get on with it but I thought it was a pretty good bike
Pit Row
Awesome! I would be excited to just see it in person 😂
The most unique aspect that I recall is that the clutch felt like it was intentionally slipping slightly out of corners, so the initial power delivery was very smooth and not grabby. That stopped the tyre breaking away. I never encountered that on any other bike.
Think of it like you were gently feeding the clutch out when you put the power on out of a turn.
I can’t believe that it was because it was simply worn out (and I couldn’t detect it at higher revs). I asked the mechanics about it but they said they knew nothing.
Jan de groot kx250 2004.
He moved down the shock to get a straight intake.
Saw that bike in person in Belgium 2004 when I was there.
I believe that this picture is taken at the Uddevalla GP in 04.
I also remember these were Photoshop images.
The entire engine block looks like a production model,
while a prototype often consists of a one of purpose-built engine.
I also can't recall ever seeing an actual photo of the YZF150.
I saw Eric Eggens race that in a British Championship at Lyng, guess it was the same year, it broke and he walked back with the spring in his hand .
Its a long time ago, but i vaguely remember that it pulled the shock, not compressed it.
Awesome thread!💯😎
im sure that if the crf150r had been a sales hit, we would already have a fi af crf150r production bike also we would also have other 150 four stroke mx bikes but with leftover crf150rs sitting on honda sales floors after the model year ends every year since 2007 no one has felt the need to jump on board when they can make more money selling 85 2 strokes even when spending r&d money to improve them rather than just adding bngs.
Water cooled RM500
I Love the RM,s too with the blue engines. Just how good was the full floater rm125 suspension in 82 was it ? Before they changed it. To a cheaper design.
9 of these, with 8 still in the crate... available..
Bought one of the Benelli's a couple of years ago as a collectors bike.
