Got this 10 years ago out of Utah...after this picture in the garage, I pulled off the spoke skins! Rode it for a year but had bad sciatica and had a hard time with the high kickstarter. Hated to sell it because it worked really well. Mid 90s motor, 295cc big bore kit, and 2007 KXF frame. One of the strongest running bikes I have ridden in close to 50 years of riding. Not all conversions went unridden!
You could have swapped to a KX250F kickstart, it helps a lot. It’s a little lower, but mostly, it’s further out so less awkward. I had the same issue with sciatica and the stock KX250 lever.
Kawasaki has a history of partnering with other OEM's to release identical models.
Bajaj has a problem of 3 brands with the same bikes..................
Behold! Bajaj shelves GasGas and sells the same bikes to Kawasaki, so they can sell it to you with green fenders.
One of my fave bikes ever was a 97 KX250, it had miles of low and mid range power.
And so we wait...

Kawasaki recently released an all new side by side that hit the showroom about a week after the public announcement, prior to the release it sounded a lot like the green 2 stroke rumors we keep talking about here. Just enough info snuck out that it felt like something was happening, but they kept a solid lid on any real news.
Patiently waiting is all that can be done..
I said that about a year ago. The only difference is that there were purposeful "leaks" of the H2s to build excitement.
Never fails…
If you look at the ports in a KDX vs KX the difference is significant. That's the fundamental 2T limitation. To overcome it adds significant complexity.
I like to stop by every now and say Hello to all you lovers of Green and premix.
I was so excited when Kawi posted they were coming back out with the 2 stroke LAST supercross season. But at this point, this whole thing is so gay, that when this thing even does eventually get dropped. I don't think anyone is even gonna give a shit...
For sure. I sat on my hands and didn't by a new bike all last year awaiting this Kaw. I'm not waiting any longer. I bought a 450XCFW and will buy another KTM 2t soon instead of dealing with Kawasaki again.
I jumped all over the 4t X models when they came out and bought a 250 and 450 and never liked them.. IF this new 2t ever shows up, I'll let it simmer for a year or so before even considering it now.
I hope when pics of the bike are finally released or leak out they are posted to this thread first and not a new thread. It only seems right after a 14 month case of blue balls.
Has it really been 14 months 🤣
I lost interest and moved on. Bought a Stark.
… got tired of waiting and snagged the Beta 350 back in Sept. I’m old..times a slipping by ✊🏻
404 days and counting.
They already released a new 2 stroke 85 and 112. What else are you guys waiting for?
Maybe Villopoto is gonna introduce the new 2 stroke at a gncc this year . He did ring the hell out of a yz125 last year or two over at the Ironman gncc
*critical thinking
Pit Row
I said f it and bought a kx500. It's coming along nicely and I know it'll rip at least so thats cool. I figure ill put it into the newer chassis later if I dont love the steel frame
Could still happen...they got Villo back....
I feel that it is my civic duty to help the folks on here to understand the situation in a realistic way.
It is not coming….Ever.
Brian, is that you.
When it comes out, I should bring one down to Ultimate and let Glenn take a victory lap to celebrate his induction into the MX Legends & Hero's Hall of Fame.
A Kawi dealer I know very well is still hearing June. But who the hell knows at this point?
I'm surprised they haven't at least released some pics.
June is probably right, they’re probably just gonna announce it with the rest of the ‘27’s at this point, so that’d be June
Sounds like this guy is on the inside...
😆
Which June?
Cleaver 👍
I created an account just for this. Someone I know works very closely with Kawasaki’s Japanese engineers on the racing side.
They didn’t give any detailed comments about the topic, but they did mention that it is a full-size bike and not some underpowered budget “field/forest” type bike. They also said they are still very busy with the final finishing work.
So there isn’t really any new information, except that there is now 100% confirmation that something is indeed happening.
