That said, your point would have more weight if the 'allies' in the region didn't have the same or similar laws, didn't stone women to death for adultery or other 'crimes' and were great bastions of human rights. They aren't. The whole region is full of murderous, uncaring regimes and royal families who've built up massive, massive personal wealth on the backs of their own people and others they ship in. Sure, the Iranians are an unpleasant bunch, but the thing with regime change (if that actually happens and it's looking increasingly unlikely) is you never know who you are going to get on the other side. It tends to be the biggest group with the most guns and the most ruthless fucker in charge of them, which is not always an improvement... 

As many in here have tried to say, this isn't about left or right it's more questioning what the plan is. Rubio made a mistake yesterday in letting slip that the Israelis were ging to hit anyway so the US had to go first, that looks like the tail wagging the dog and does not imply a co-ordinated action with a clear objective. That's why the UK, France and Germany are out on the offensive action, no-one could explain what the intended outcome was/is.
