It's going to be interesting to say the least. Trump's foreign policy has been dramatically different from the normal strategy to say the least. We hear a lot about we did xyz and it ended up a cluster fuck. So maybe THE WAY we handled things in the past was the problem? Not THAT we did something. Arguably if 3 of the 4 last Presidents had stopped Russian invasions when they started, the Ukraine war would be off the table and we would be living in some of the most peaceful times in history. I believe the Abraham Accord(s?) would have been expanded by now. Remember in his first term, the shit he got for meeting with NoKoKim? Everything about him is unconventional. But look what conventional has got us. Bush's Iraq war, Obama's Afghanistan war, Biden's Ukraine war. Can you really do worse?

We’d be living in the most peaceful time in history if we stopped meddling with the Middle East and we didn’t enact the color code revolutions throughout Eastern Europe in the 90s and 2000s that provoked Russia into retaliation.  Creating a problem and then trying to “solve” it is not an accomplishment.

It’s also not going to be “interesting” to watch thousands upon thousands of innocent people get killed.  This isn’t a show for your entertainment, these are living people who will die in the most heinous ways because a few people decided that they were an acceptable loss for whatever their disgusting ends are.  I still remember being in elementary school when one of my classmates dad was killed in Iraq, that girl grew up without a father and that family was never the same.  This isn’t some sick joke, these are real people on both sides who’s lives are being played with as if they don’t even matter, we deserve better than this.

I'm sure that what TM meant was that it will be interesting to see what Trump decides to do now that he has committed to doing "something".  A regime change war would likely get him impeached. Any kind of a broad based missile attack would also not be received well.

I'm also sure that TM understands the ramifications of war and doesn't need to be lectured.

You'd have to be pretty nieve to expect to NOT be lied to by any government. That doesn't mean they're not working to change things for the better. And not everyone agrees on what's better.

Depends on how the lies affect the company, coworkers,  and his/her performance, and lastly if I still benefit by his/her employment. Many times people say things that literally have no effect on you so why dwell on it? Sometimes you believe things affect you but really don't. And some things actually affect you. You have to figure it out for yourself. Kind of like here, I see a few posters that put the same propaganda shit in every post they make. It doesn't affect me one bit, so I just don't care.

I know government is lying to me. I have no problem admitting they’ve been lying to me my whole life. I don’t even expect honesty or trustworthiness out of them. They say one thing, and then do another…. But this time it will be different. This politician really means what he says. I am sure I can trust this one. I’m not naïve at all.

The marketing genius of the trump admin is their ability to present conventionality as unconventional.

Government is bad. There is nothing it can do to make your situation better without making someone else’s situation worse. Which in the long run, makes everyone’s lives worse. That essential and inseparable characteristic is the reason it is inherently flawed.

Do you really believe other men have a better idea and possess a legitimate right over your own to dictate how you spend, save, and make your money? Are you really ok with other men dictating how you are to raise your children?

What do I think you are waiting for? I think you are waiting and expecting another man or group of men to dictate our collective livelihoods in a fashion you find more palatable.

And ya know TM I understand you’re just being pragmatic. And within the context of your pragmatism, I understand and generally agree with your position.
The difference between you and I, is that your pragmatism is reliant upon the belief that the state, the government, and the men that control these mechanisms, possess an authority that is legitimate, and have the ability to act with your best interests in mind.

I am also pragmatic, but my pragmatism is only pragmatic under the presumption that our current social, cultural, and economic systems of organization are inherently and fundamentally flawed. That nothing authentically good and honorable and long lasting and sustainable and equitable can come of it. I am of the opinion that no actions based upon the most fundamental of American principles can be achieved within our current paradigm. And so if you believe what I believe, then the only practical solution is world wide sociocultural revolution.

Here's the big difference between us. One, we both agree the government is full of corruption. What we don't agree on is that there is still room to live a happy successful life with our country. You seem to think that we cannot live/work withing the system.

I could complain all day long how gravity is bad, causes me knee pain, back pain,.... And yet, because I know it will always be there no matter what I say, I've learned to live my life know that it will not change.

The government by nature will have corruption. Everyone wants to wield power and does unscrupulous things to wield that power. And sometimes it's needed. Let's take for an example a freeway. Everyone in the public has a different opinion of IF it's needed, where it's needed, how bad it's needed, and where it's going to go. A construction company might contribute heavily to a candidate that wants to push forward. Another candidate might be more for a "let's make a lake a national park". So the construction company goes to that guy and says well fund your marketing for your bill if you will support the highway bill. One person says that's negotiating, the next says that's corruption. But at the end of the day, you influenced someone to support something that not everybody agreed on and used money to do so. Because rarely do that many people agree on something and money talks. However, that power of money also influences/pays for bad behavior.

So the big difference between us is, I'm not going to live my whole life depressed/angry that it's happening.

He’s going to make a deal with the regime, instead of taking them out. It will be a humungous mistake to do so. If I was them, I’d just agree whatever the terms are. He will focused on something else next week. He’s back to saying he stopped hundreds from getting hanged. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Iran’s Mullah’s are losing their grip. Their probably gonna go out with a bang. That’s worrisome.

We’ve got more assets in the region than we can count: notably there’s no public notification of where the SSGNs and some SSN/Attack subs with missile capabilities…none of which are being reported on…interesting. Oh, and those SSGNs can put operators in theater/on the beach…which is nice.

We’ve got more Fast Attack a/c over there than we’ve had…well…let’s jus’ say we’re geared up for taking shit out.

Also, it looks like there’s more missile destroyers than I can believe.

Then there’s aircraft. Where they’re stained tells us a lot about who wants the Mullahs to truly Fuck Off…throughout the ME and the surrounding area. More ac in theater than can be counted. From Stealth this and Stealth that to a helluva lot of F15s configured for blowing shit up.

I get JM’s position on all of this; but, in recognition of some of the points that he’s making, DJT’s strikes are quite the opposite of the previous administration & their forever wars.

He goes in, knocks out some important assets…and goes home. The last guy to do that was Bush…the 1st Bush. Since then, the Presidents that followed him didn’t seem to see a conflict that they could figure out. Ever.

There’s still Iranian Strategic Targets aplenty. Furthermore, what was the collateral damage and/or loss of life from our last attack? Even when DJT takes out Iranian Generals…IN IRAQ…the CDAs/BDAs are pretty damn good.

As for anyone claiming that the death toll form these latest Iranian Protests is all false or bullshit? Damn, one might want to go search the universe of sources on the matter. Global intel services are looking at ever expansive numbers of executed and disappeared Iranian citizens…this is way beyond crowd suppression and is actually crowd execution on a level that only Stalin or Mao would truly understand. Democide is back. It’s happening in Iran. Rommel wasn’t wrong.

As for us..and maybe another country or 2 or 3…taking out strategic targets in Iran? After the last 2 years of depleting thier missile forces, running down their proxies, pushing them out pf Syria, Lebanon, Gaza and more? It’s a good time to drive a wooden stake thru the Mullahs fucking hearts if they keep this shit up.

An F35 just shot down an Iranian drone on a run AT the Lincoln.

This is probably just the beginning.

The Mullahs and the IRGC should start figuring out there long term plans..as in…”Are your affairs in order?”

Wait, I thought those drones were “stealth”…? 🤣

Like throwing rocks at a hornets nest. Ask me how that goes. Ok, you don't have to ask. It's fucked, they come after you like a cloud. And they go after your eyes and face! Nearly poked my eye out trying to get them off! Some things you only have to experience once.

U might wanna do a lil homework…

The Saudis are the ones trying to convince DJT it’s time to strike.

Also, the Iranian Nuke facilities, new & old, including Tritium and U-gas production…all…appear to be “retargeted”. Nice.

The Iranians will send their “Navy” out, soon. Doubt they’ll leave port before being eliminated. Let’s we of those crazy fucks have toe balls to launch a single ac. Their drones are becoming target practice.

Iran has threatened “A Regional Response”…that gives the U.S. justification to go with the broader response that’s been in the wings for a while…

Missile and Missile Launcher plants…what remains of them…POOF! Weapons facilities in general…POOF! Military bases and training facilities…including known terrorist training camps in the region…POOF!

Hence, from The Kingdom to Jordan to Syria to…even Qatar & the UAE…Iran is on their Fuck Off list.

But, hey, tell me this is all about Israel. 🤣

You’re posting like you’re high.

No worries.

Ain’t no one around here interested in our troops being on the ground. Oh, hell no. But, using our resources to eliminate those Mullah shitbags that are wholesale killing people on the streets of Tehran and thru-out Iran? Well, ok.

But, if the major ME states are so worried about things, they can put “their boots” on that sandy ground.

Here’s the thing, kiddo…I’m quite sure you’ve got no sand in your boots, no scars and I’m gonna go with…no experience…that’s apparent as I read your posts.

But, hey, that’s jus’ me.

Furthermore, I truly appreciate you recognizing the difference between me…my generation(The Who, Bitches!)…&….well….

You.

Anyhoo…go get a global education and maybe learn what’s actually going on in the ME instead of jackin’ it to YouTube.

When I read your crap, I’m reminded…some do the kids are not…

Alright.

Now, you go have a nice day & thanks for tryin’.

You guys are making my point. I have friends who went over there. They Told me how fucked the rules of engagement are and how we had no business being over there to start with. We have our own problems over here. Veteran suicide and homeless being one of them.

What happened to no world police and America first? The same people that have already gave us bad intel before are doing it again. We have sent them billions this year and you want to send them more money?

We have a legit child sex trafficking problem in this country right now. A huge blackmail scandal in our government and we’re worried about fucking Iran? Give me a break.

I can’t believe I’m even wasting my time arguing with someone so dense.

At some point in your life, you probably learned to ride a bicycle. You probably fell in the process. Because you fell doesn't mean that you shouldn't ride a bicycle, It means that you shouldn't do the same thing that caused you to fall. So many times I hear Trump's not doing that the way we always did, he's not presidential, he's ruining our relationships.... Have you ever stopped to think that the way we did things WAS the problem, and we need to do things different? You're obviously unhappy with what we did, why are you so unhappy with trying something different? His first year as 47, he's had some amazing accomplishments. Because this board has been overrun by a few that live for a single issue and opposite from what most of the country wants to happen, the exchange of ideas has gone in the toilet.

🤣

You…giving away who you are…

You…calling ANYONE “dense”…

Bwaaaahaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaa

You…assigning all that stupid shit to anyone other than your-do-nothing-self is so telling.

Kiddo, why are you wasting your time and intellectual superiority on all us of stupid fuckers? 🤓

Here’s the best part of all to this lil’ joke that is “you shitting all over yourself” as you cast aspersions from your mom’s basement…

I’ve been firing people like you…

Since the ‘80s.

You’re so much like those kids I’ve seen marching for Palestine in NYC & on college campuses.

Hence, total and complete…

Cluelessness.

But, I digress.

What is the reason for doing this? It shows who you are beside the post, and if it’s quoted, it still shows your screen name.

Honest question: are the 'sand in your boots' and 'scars' comments about your own time deployed, or just shorthand?

Civilians don’t deploy.

I’m not asking about civilians in general, use whatever term you think fits. I’m asking about you. Were you referring to your own boots and scars literally, or was that figurative?
