I love Davies and his riding ability. Perhaps he’s the only one out of the young guys who can really give Jett a run for his money. He still has a lot to prove tho. His demeanor has changed quite a bit. He’s much more serious compared to last year, which is cool, but those comments in the post race press conference kind of worried me a little.

When he said, “I dont feel like anyone can touch me” and “I just need to figure out the starts and I will be away,” it definitely raised an eyebrow. That’s a bit early to say, huh? 😅 Even if he believes it, and maybe it’s true, that’s not the best way to put it imo. In other words, I just hope he doesnt go down the Deegan dick route.. but I think he’s smart enough not to. He’s still young, so maybe he just got a little carried away.

Yea I wasn't very impressed with his interview either. Came across dismissive and arrogant.

I might want to post up some wins before he runs his mouth.

There's a thin line between confidence and cockiness. Not sure which side of it he's on with these comments. Weird to say after you've gone 0-2 so far.

Noticed he was pretty salty in his post race interview on the broadcast, even getting a little snarky with Will it seemed. Kind of strange to see, it’s understandable being a little frustrated with his results this year but maybe he needs a little attitude adjustment. The difference between Hammaker and Davies on the podium interview was night and day

He races with all the top star guys everyday so he knows where he sits speedwise, but to say it out loud is dumb. Probably needs to spend less time with Deegs

I think it's fine he feels that way, and he's shown the raw speed to back it. However, I also think it shows a lack of maturity and perspective to have that attitude and those comments on the broadcast and in the presser. Understandable at his age, but someone maybe needs to do a little coaching.

It’s necessary to believe you can win and truly feel that coming into every race, but saying that type of thing out loud without a win yet…I’m a fan of the dude but it doesn’t make me more of one

That attitude is good just look at deegan why he's on top. Confidence is everything in sports. RC, james, villo all had that arrogance cockiness in them they just didn't say it.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one that listened to the post-race press conference and also got those vibes. I was a fan of his personality last year, less serious, but all business on the bike - hopefully the acknowledgement of his speed hasn't gotten to his head.. we shall see

Well Cole needs to start winning. Those riders you named were winning lots of races and overall dominating the competition.

He has the skills to be confident like this, but not everyone is going to like this style of communicating it.  You can lose a lot of fans going this route but we've seen Deegan build a massive following with it.  Time will tell if he continues with this attitude or if someone has a talk with him.  It doesn't bother me either way as I just want to see good racing.

Apparently a lot of us noticed his interview with Will and wasn't impressed. The post race just confirmed it. To be real, he did win in his rookie season last year. He possesses skill and talent. But he hasn't won this year and he needs to cool his jets thinking he's the guy to beat for the championship. His whoop speed is great, and using a quote from Mitch, "we can work with speed". Well Star racing and his rep need to work on his humbleness, respect and humility skills. Hopefully he will see this and tamper it down. I believe he's a good kid.

Cole won 2 races his rookie year, and we're only 2 races into this series.

I’m well aware. He’s talking like he’s currently winning though…

Great riding style and speed, that being said if Deegan had gotten into second like that he would have thrown down a couple really fast laps, passed Seth and gapped him. I was expecting Davies to do the same, and he didn’t.

Davies holeshots no doubt he wins..

His start last night was plenty good enough to win. It was his own mistakes that kept him from the victory. I want to like Cole, but the weird antisocial cockiness and the way he left GasGas hanging after all they did for him, it leaves a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. He is a teenager, though.

I like Cole a lot so I hope we see him mature. We gave Deegan a pass that he was just a teenager and look how that's worked out

He is awesome to watch, seems star management reinforces this type of attitude. I don't care either way, just want to see top talent do insane things on the motorcycle.

Reminds me of Reedy. But Reedy won immediately and kept winning.

He will be good, if not great: As long as he stays healthy.

Did he ever say anything about demolishing the first turn in Arlington?

That’s true the kid has just gotten more sour as time goes on.  I used to be a fan of him but not since about this time last year.  Hopefully Davies can keep his ego in check.

Davies has placed somewhere between 7th and 8th place on average in his 16 pro races. Too inconsistent. Fast in whoops. We’ve heard that before about riders. So many riders have speed but aren’t consistent

He's fast and smooth, really a joy to watch ride in supercross. Outdoors, he was irrelevant. I don't get the comparison to Jett or Deegan, they are fast wherever they line up.
