I haven't been to an SX since maybe 93 in San Diego, but stadium prices were always outrageous there. I had SD Chargers season tix from 1995-2005 and even then a 12 oz beer (Coors light, Bud, etc.) was $12.00. 16 oz Craft beer or import $16.00, Hot dogs $5-7.00. 12 0z bottle water $3.50 and so on. We had massive tailgate parties in parking lot before game and got filled up to where you might need 1 expensive beer all game, but a lot of trips to bathroom to drain everything 😅

You're not paying for the food; it's the atmosphere of SX!

That's why I stay home and sub to Peacock  😆 😆 😆

You’re naming your child after Deegan and you’re just putting that information out there on your own volition? Not even Batman would be able to get information that embarrassing out of me.

You're going to name your son after a douchebag? Why don't you just name him Douchebag?

Shitty thing to say even by VitalMx standards ….

I have not been to a live sx since 2019. Paying 100-150 for a seat and seeing the food prices are not worth it to me. Not when you can watch it from home or record it and fast forward the whole race in a hour and half.

At least you are paying these food prices just once a year when the series comes around. I couldn't imagine going to a baseball game the team barely cares about and spending $20 on a beer.

The prices are fine.  It’s simple economics.  Supply and demand.  If you’re willing to spend $30 for a slice of pizza, they’re happy to charge for it.

Me?  No.  I wouldn’t buy anything at those prices.

I wasn't THAT shocked to pay $30 for two beers in Seattle. But I was surprised when the concessions lady gave me a schpiel that they're volunteers and only paid by tips (maybe that's always been the case, but that was news to me). So, when prompted with the default 20% tip, I felt guilty and accepted. $6 to walk 5 feet and hand me two cans of beer. Tipflation, shrinkflation, taxation, self-service, it all adds up.

Being in Georgia you should be familiar with the Mercedes Benz Stadium experiment. Some people may be willing to pay $30 for pizza but much more would be willing to pay $10 so if you find the sweet spot you can make the same amount of money but the fans are happier.

The one that gets me is the $6 bottle of water, I know everything is going to be pricey but you can buy a 32 pack case of water for $6.

Now that is some profit margin!

Food and alcohol is expensive everywhere now unless you are eating shit fast food, so it is to be expected I guess. Does make for an expensive evening, but that is the choice we make!

Unfortunately even crappy fast food is expensive. I rarely eat it but was coming home from vacation and stopped at taco bell off the interstate for a couple tacos. For two people it was $36. Not huge orders and I was blown away. The kid working the window said "honestly your better off going to chipotle" which I found hilarious. It makes it really easy to avoid when its crap and expensive. It use to be crappy and cheap but not anymore. Man, I sound like my grandpa. I guess I should start saying get off my lawn. Life happens fast.

Any self-respecting Deegan fan would name his son HYDN.

Or an empty Camelback bladder in with you, and fill it up in the bathroom sink.

Idk why that hit so hard but central FL water really is that bad man... crazy. Hard as heck with a hint of fart in it.

It’s not after him- notice it’s spelled Hayden… Always liked the name after Hayden Christiansen (Vader in the star was movies) and I live next to Hayden Idaho and always thought it was a cool name.

The notion commercial concessionaires could do this legally with "volunteers" seems improbable to me, if not outright BS (not your BS, but the vendor's).  Maybe "I'm a contractor who chooses to do this on commission,"  or "I didn't have to work this shift but signed up."

May seem crazy; but, Arlington seems like one of the more “affordable” venues when it comes to food & drink!

It’s probably just me. 🤣

For some silly reason…I always find a way to… go to Arlington.

This year I booked it while watching the race in Seattle…as I watched a friend have a mediocre night after putting in a helluva effort…sat there and booked the flt…OUCH…DAMN! Flts have REALLY gone up…looked at rooms…yup, they’ve gone up…but, hey…

This is Supercross &…”We’re goin’ East! Hey, Jo’s back! Pierce is at Star! Smith is on a 450!”

And…the people of Texas…the bar-b-q-q…an ice cold Shiner…that stadium…watching all 3 Zook’s get in the main, AGAIN 👍🏼…well, it was worth it.

And, yes, believe it or not…Arlington is one of the best stadiums and the food is awesome and not too crazy on the wallet. Sounds crazy, I know…

Welcome to the 2026 economy. 😎

Wait until they start charging you to get out of the venue.

Some of them get ran by clubs such as Lions and Rotary then some of the profits go to the clubs or organizations that staff each stand.

Cmon rookies. We tailgate in the parking lot, pull a strong buzz and eat 3 hamburgers. Monster can for the pit party.

Then we either run the old plastic flask in the boot or just buy 1 beer to maintain the buzz during the race.

We do not buy food, alcohol, or merch inside the stadium.

Or pop a gummy about an hour before the races start and vibe on through!

I did that for my nieces cheer team. I got to see Metallica, Alan Jackson, and a lot of other concerts for free one summer. We had no training and could do everything in the concessions stand except cook the food. The cheer team got the money

I was in Dallas this weekend as well but was at the Cowboys practice facility in Frisco at a gymnastics meet instead of SX. Concessions there were just as bad. Pay ~150 each to enter two kids in meet. Pay ~90 each for weekend pass to get my wife and I into the meet to watch. Pay a ton to eat..... And yes the concessions workers had their "give me a tip" routines down. Infuriating. Flight home today got delayed and I went straight from airport to work night shift on no sleep so I can keep funding all this nonsense..... kids had fun and did well but I'm not loving life at the moment.

I too scratched my head at this notion, but gave it a couple minutes of research and it's listed right on Lumen fields website. I'm not sure the exact details of how this works, or how widespread it is across Lumen, or other stadiums.

And an AI summary if you don't click that link..

All you drunks is why I don't go to Supercross anymore. Last two times I went drunk people ruined the experience.

If you can't handle your liquor either don't drink or stay home. F*ckin Nancy Boys.

I'll never understand the need to get drunk at these events.
