I don’t understand why KB reported this on X but not on Racer X….
Let’s be real, as much as this all sucks, Honda has got away with plenty over the years. RC fuelgate comes to mind.
That happened in ‘06
Why does it seem like these decisions only ever seem to go in Star Yamaha’s favor. The amount of times Deegan has gotten away with leaving the track as well…
In contrast, for Honda somehow they always happen to create exceptional scenarios.
The first time maybe ever we saw someone get docked for jumping the gate and now the first time someone is getting punished for rolling on red lights.
Very suspicious
When he was with Suzuki.
Because Bobby's a Good Ole Boy from Missitucky and Monster Energy owns the series.
Oh man. That’s funny
Yep, and it is this video at the 8:34 mark. Feld and the AMA are simpy trying to figure out how to bury their fk up.

Could have sworn it was with Honda.
Welp, my mistake and I now look like an idiot.
I kind of remember it being the beginning of Roger can pull strings with the AMA talk.
Hey, respect for admitting your mistake.
That was a similar thing, though. Two years earlier Reed lost 25 points for fuel, but then RC and Roger threatened to quit the series if they took points away and the AMA backed down.
So the new word is that Brian Deegan called mister p at ama and made this go away for the star guy. It will be in the next Dngr YouTube when they show the $500 penalty again and the text thread between the two.
Well it was 20 years ago, after all.
I’m 35 tomorrow and this made me feel old as shit, lol
Pit Row
My bad, fully retract this post I made 🤷😄
Edited!
Wait till you hit 65 , young man!😆
High quality
Honda should stay home next week like Ricky threatened.
The 450 flag with Tomac and roczen seems just as bad to me. That flag is clear as day in the exact perfect spot to be visible. They aren't monster riders. Pretty much just Honda seems to be getting screwed if there are no penalties. IMO.
Keeps the series closer... Is all I can think.
If nothing happens over it, I hope Honda and Jo sue them. There is plenty of documented precedent for penalizing those types of infractions. Additionally, the rules are crystal clear about it.
Doesn’t do them any good when they are first in the 450s and second in the 250s. The rest of the teams aren’t going to not show up so they’ll just be one race down after Saturday
Happy birthday! I turned 35 in September. Realizing I’ve been out of high school for 18 years makes me feel old. That and my oldest just turned 13 😥
I have written in the Kellen thread also.
It wasn't a red light by function before finish line, it was an orange light that happen to be red by color. Riders apparently has been briefed about it and since many in 250 jumped anyway, some understood the function.
In 450 other way around. Riders briefed that they can look for warning light before finish since red cross at finish line is seen to late, just dangerous to try and brake.
So no warnings lights, they can't hand out penalty.
All seems to be in accordance with what riders has been briefed how it will work for 2026 and at the races.
If Jo has a say in what song plays when he comes out for opening ceremonies...
250 Class Race Direction Review
During the race, a warning light, also referred to as the single red lead in light, was displayed in accordance with standard race procedures. When the warning light is shown, riders are alerted of a future obstacle being shut down. However, the presence of the warning light alone does not prohibit riders from executing jumps unless accompanied by additional flag signals or directives indicating otherwise.
After a thorough review by Race Direction, it has been confirmed that all 250 riders remained in compliance with the rules. Since the warning light was displayed and no supplementary signals were issued to restrict jumping, riders were permitted to maintain race pace and execute jumps through the section.
As a result, no penalties have been assessed to any riders in the 250 class regarding this situation.
450 Class Race Direction Review
A separate situation occurred during the 450 Main Event involving a red cross flag being displayed at the finish line stand. At the time of the incident, no corresponding red lights or red cross flags were illuminated in the section leading into the jump.
Following a comprehensive review, Race Direction determined there was no blatant violation of the red cross rule. (1.6.14, e.,6) Riders were already committed to the jump without a visible warning light to reasonably signal the restricted condition prior to takeoff.
Given the absence of illuminated red lights and the lack of advanced visual indication before rider commitment, officials concluded that the circumstances did not warrant penalties.
As a result, no penalties have been assessed to any riders in the 450 class regarding this situation.
