Was hella fast, and made some relatively boring racing.
Why didn’t they place 1 or 2 walls to slow things down a bit. I’m not asking for dragons backs, lol
ricky said it was the hardest track this year. im not buying it. did that sand really help? i couldnt tell. pretty boring yea. 48 second lap times and some insane speed thru many of those sections by the top guys. 48 sec times in a friggin football stadium...
Boring?? Each moto was 🔥
Walls are gay
In the 450 class it did look like it was hard to make up ground for the top guys. Yes, there was some passing but not much.
Of the tracks so far, this one seemed to be mostly about the start.
Props to Webb though. He put in some good rides last night.

After250 race 1 I thought we were in for a snoozer but 450 was pretty good all night.
I’m baffled by this take. 450 racing was excellent all night with lots of passing and mistakes causing guys to miss rhythms.
The track raced way better than I'd thought it would. Guys made or lost time with how big they were willing to send to flat on that triple-double.
Saying things are gay is gay. Wait… no homo
250 was boring I’ll agree. But 450 was some of the best racing in years with this track build.
It was a fast track where all riders are flat out and punishes riders for any mistake. Not much opportunity to make up any time and you really had to hit your marks. The bunching of the qualifying times was good foreshadowing of what to expect.
This, to a T. In 250's, whether you like it or not, Deegan has everyone covered. After that, the next tier isn't even close right now. They are all pretty inconsistent in results and speed.
450's on the other hand has been great. They all still believe they can be the top dog. Great racing.
450 races were all good, mate. cmoon
But Im still on the team "sx needs to craze-up tracks a little bit ASAP"
For the first time 450s were better than 250s, 250W is snooze fest
Not a fan of 4th/5th gear Supercross tracks. I also think it made for boring, one good line racing.
Gotta watch out for those banana pockets!
Deagan was tripling into that pocket and launching a full 10-12 feet farther out than anyone. Eli was doing it as well.
Sometimes pinning it on a jump like that is just faster.
That's a good summary of the track build and consequently, the dynamics as they played out in relation to the level of dificulty involved for the elite riders to make up time. Tomac's mistake and endo is probably evidence of how hard they were pushing.
What are these banana sections?
Banana seemed to be the word of the day in some of the post race interviews.
Pit Row
Am I completely out of touch that I have never heard the term “banana” used to describe a jump before last night?
I thought the track was great. The triple-triple and rhythm sections were hard enough that it created separation but didn't seem to be inordinately dangerous. That's hard combination to achieve and I'm impressed with how well they pulled it off. Dirt seemed awesome too. Would have been nice if the laptimes were 20 seconds longer and there were at least three more whoops, but overall an excellent track imo! I'll qualify that with I didn't ride it, and haven't raced supercross in 27 years...
I don't mind walls. I wish they incorporated them into the tracks more. But with more risk reward. Put one in somewhere where, if a rider were to send it, it'd be a huge double or incorporate a huge time difference. I swore one year, probably 10 ish years ago an Atlanta sx had this. I wish they would slow it down and make it super technical. Going back through the archives and YouTube, those mid 2000 races were awesome
I'd LOVE to see just one "throw back" race with a copy of a 1980's Detroit Silverdome track. Horrible jumps and all. It would be interesting to see each amazing rider handle it differently.
Hell even throw in some hay bales for some amazing photos.
