But the stock 250 SX from KTM is a lot better, I would say...
I'd agree to that but he's not racing a stock bike so its irrelevant.

Not that I think ktm is any "better" at making a motocross bike. They're pretty equal in my books. Ktm still cares about the two stroke where yamaha really does not.

If they did the 125 would be a 144 off the showroom floor.

Kudos to yamaha for stepping up though, maybe this will be a sign of things to come. Hopefully Cedric gets some leftover parts from 05.

The fact is KTM continues to improve each year their two-stroke bikes, and Yamaha doesn't.

By the time my old man is done with it and Enzo does the suspension, it will be better than his KTM with 1.5mm squish in Geneva... ;-)

I'll let you know when my dad is done with it. The chart was compare to stock with only cylinder/head/CDI and intake. Bottom end wasn't done, ceramic bearings weren't in there yet, FMF will provide us with something we used to have on factory bikes when I was there... Power should improve quite a bit.

I don't know the numbers yet. My dad just took a photo of the dyno screen with his iPhone...

We have nothing to hide on the 250 program and I will share what we have (and numbers) with the fans. No worries...

I am very much looking forward to reading this write up. Great exposure for your team, and great exposure for your sponsors. Can not wait to see the bike out on the track tearing it up. The sport has been longing for someone to complete this style of project with the professionalism of the top teams, and glad to see Motoconcepts take it on. I hope to see this the start of something big for the two strokes and the MotoConcepts team.

Thanks for the update DV.

OK. NOW I'm reeeeally interested. Being able to see the charts and have it posting right here all about the bike and rider makes us all feel like Cedric, DV, MotoConcepts are the "Racer's" race team.

We all want to see someone racing what WE ride not 157 extra intake parts and 35 extra pounds clakking around the track.

I see a 35 pager here... It may qualify as a sticky soon with the level of interest and continual updates. It will be interesting to see if that is allowed to happen.

From todays racerhead:

"Cédric Soubeyras, the very fast French rider on the KTM 250 SX two-smoke, has made a deal with Moto Concepts Yamaha and team manager David Vuillemin to race six rounds of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross tour, beginning with Phoenix."

Come on DC, make it clear to the people that he's going to continue riding a two stroke. Make a big deal out of it, the interest is obviously there.

Why wouldn't this thread be allowed as a sticky?

A few parts off this bike lying around?

Best of luck to Cédric Soubeyras and the Moto Concepts Yamaha Team in 2011.

Also a big thanks to David Vuillemin (aka DV12) for making this happen!

Would be better if they let him race that YZ250 in the 250 class.
I'm not going to bitch about it more though.
I've just become a big fan of Cedric, DV12, and the whole Moto Concepts team... Thanks guys!

May the marketing people at the bike factories take note of the worldwide support. Go Cedric, and all my support to Motoconcepts. May we one day see "affordable" racing return to the people. Viva le Revolution!

I want to know what kind of difference the ceramic bearings make, Project250 was using those and it sounded like they made as big difference as any thing else, didnt know if that was true or not??

I want to do alot of stuff to my 250 too, just have a pipe and silencer, and cleaned up the cylinder ports, would love to have my whole engine done by someone so it rips like RC's RM did!

DV - put extra two stroke oil in the gas.... make sure the stadium's can see and smell that shit. If the four strokes can be that loud, then the two stroke needs to make its presence known!

Changing of the guard? REALLY SERIOUSLY??? Bunch of hopes and aspirations!! How many times have 2 strokes tried to make the main only to fail? You really think this is changing of the guard because someone "qualifies" for a main but finishes off the podium all while 4 strokes running race gas to cover up any smell of 2 stroke and 4 stroke exhaust covering up ANY sound of the 2?

This is freakin hilarious!

LOL, you people amaze me, you act like people didnt try to qualify on the 2 stroke last year? Revolution because someone is attempting to make a main? You won't hear it or smell it! Won't podium, wheres the revolution?

Perhaps 2011 will be known as " The Year Of The Two-Stroke " and those that

dismiss the new 2 smoke revolution will be swept up by the vigorous hype and

hubbub - finding themselves frying up Bel-Ray at 40: 1 in their naughty wife's

favorite wok, while nobody's home because they've gone to Aunt Judy's house

instead of a real vacation - because 4 stroke-guy blew his 450 motor and, has

to buy $2600 worth of metal parts for his exploding contraption....

Buwwwhaaahaaaa......BRAAAAAAPPPPPPPPP. GO CEDRIC ZEE ENTERTAINER !!!
Where? Where is the revolution? Isnt there someone each year trying to qualify on a 2 stroke, only to fail? A two stroke will NEVER make a podium nor will it ever make a top 10 against 4 strokes. So, again, where is this revolution? Whats new about a 2 stroke attempting to qualify?
12/24/2010 2:16pm
With french wonderkid Cédric Soubeyras !

Team Yamaha Motoconcept, 250YZ, 6 races (from Phoenix to San Diego).

Excellent news !!!
someone is a little grumpy today. Many people have tried to qualify but didnt have the right support backing them up so they could qualify. But this time motoconcepts is putting an actual two stroke rider on a bike that should easily be able to compete with the four bangers. We dont expect him to make the podium, we just want a solid finish that will show everyone that two strokes can compete against the pigs with the right support and the right rider.
