Ryder Malinoski injured

Saw the fan footage from his crash. It was brutal. I haven't heard any updates yet. Please put updates here.

Rewound the broadcast when it happened, he slammed into the face of 2 different jumps, absolutely brutal and scary to see. Glad it's not worse.

I also saw his takedown of Kayden Minear in practice, that was dumb.

Glad to hear he is relatively OK, but its scary to see these guys riding over their heads with so much on the line.

Glad is he okay and alert. But I hate how we seem to downplay getting knocked out for that long. Hope he takes the necessary time to fully heal.

Minear hit Malinoski’s front wheel, and quickly found out that apparently you do not F with Malinoski.  I was surprised at the quickness of the retaliation.
Future Anderson?  Not necessarily a take out artist, but not one to be trifled with.
I like it.
Get well soon Malinoski.

Stating a bruised forehead seems innocuous until adding the fact that that happened while wearing one of the safest helmets available. I’m pretty sure the surface bruise isn’t what the main concern should be.

Yeah that’s a pretty significant bruise caused from the inside of a helmet

For sure but watch that crash footage. I’m surprised he isn’t dead, it’s one of the most brutal slams I’ve seen. Especially with back-to-back head hits like that because there’s no way he wasn’t TKO’ed after the first hit.

I'm going to guess "fully KO'd".

...Generally happens if you are wearing too loose of a helmet.

Not saying he was, because that crash was brutal, but that can be factor.

It happened right in front of me.  He was straight sleeping for several minutes.  It was really scary to see.

Who ever it is clearly didn't see it, or, like you said, a complete moran.

Malinoski is a classic Minnesota kid.  Tough as shit, humble and a hard worker.  This dude will crush it.

Glad he’s ok.  That crash looked horrendous.  Also loved watching him dish it back to Minear.

Agreed. Just saying to pass it off as bruising seems to minimize how damaging that hit was and hope he and his family take the time to recovery from that bruise

really glad to read this racer can fully recover from that crash - the broadcast only showed his twisted motionless body on the track for a few seconds, but it was very disturbing to view.

Nah, I get what you mean. I’m just waiting for that one guy to come in here and fill multiple pages talking about how he has a concussion but people are happy he’s otherwise okay. Grinning

If Minear was on a lap, and Malinoski wasnt, then it was a nothing move to not let the lap go, and if they were both on a  lap, the same applies.

It wasnt impressive, and could have been way way worse. I shall reserve judgement , but it seems like he already fucked his chance at riding East .

Here!

I’m surprised his sponsors didn’t immediately run an ad claiming their rider walked away unscathed. “Just a bruised forehead, nothing to see here, motocross fans. Keep risking your lives for our entertainment and profits.”

I wonder why the up and coming future youth of this sport aren’t adorning their preciously sensitive torsos with bubble wrap.

I’m here to ask why his sponsors don’t run an ad immediately after his horrific crash claiming their sponsored rider walked away without a serious injury.

I’m here to ask why the industry isn’t parading this young man around as proof their amazing gear and technology saved his godamn fucking life.

That’s what I’m asking. Where are the manufacturers claiming they did a bang-up job protecting this young man from certain death?

Where is the fucking industry!!!!?? Where is your fucking ad telling us how goddamn fucking safe we are?
