Hopefully some still like to read...

I’ll push these out quicker in the coming weeks, but anyway… The ‘DataLab’ is especially interesting.

Impressions

A1 DataLab

I'll add a shameless plug for the MXGP pod too, which was a lot of fun. Even got Adam's A1 takes!

Oh yeah, old guy here that WAY prefers to read than vlog.

Edit: Now that I've read it, excellent work. Proper punctuation, good content, right length per segment, no grammatical errors. I hate reading "break problems" or the misuse of  their/there and affect/effect. Yes, I am an old boomer. Grew up reading the newspaper on the kitchen floor every day. I miss getting a 10 lb. Sunday Atlanta Journal or Washington Post and spending a couple hours with my coffee, reading it end to end.

Are Adam's A1 takes all about Prado?  I'll listen though, always do! I did enjoy the Data Lab.

Thanks for pulling these together Lewis, really enjoy these segments.

It's so crazy that KR and ET are still going at it at the top of their field. Here's a few more stats - KR and ET have been battling now since A1 2011 - 16 years. They both started their SX career at that race, with Kenny in 7th and Eli in 10th. ET, KR and Craig are the only riders from that A1 2011 250 Main still racing. Even more impressive is the fact that, since 2011, we've had 22 different 250 SX champs besides ET and KR, and those two are still the ones winning. Think of all the talent that has entered the field during that time and they continue to elevate and win.

Adam started with Jorge, but went into Chase and some other things... His A1 opinions are at the end!

Big Lew.
Off topic, but PLEASE can you put some thought into co-authoring a moto biography. While there are a few around the community could really do with one from a more current rider. Reed and Herlings instantly come to mind. While I did read Open I found it to be pretty poorly written (undoubtedly in part due to the translation) and in all a fairly predictable tale of a talented rider who lacked guidance when he needed it most.

Cheers.

To be fair, I'd love to read another biography. Stefan Everts' is a really, really good read if you haven't already...

It'd be a dream to write one myself, but I am not sure I have the confidence/ability to do it. I'd get Adam to help.

I spoke to Cairoli about it a while back, just briefly, and I've always told Jeffrey that I want first dibs on his, haha.

Are we supposed to read it with an accent?

Nice read, informative but not too wordy. Question about the Austria Redemption - no mention of their 250 lack of representation?

Good tip re: the Everts one, I will see if I can find it somewhere. Thanks.

As I recall (it's been over 20 years!) there were very few. Back then the big papers had HUGE staff with multiple layers of proofreading and editing performed before they went to press. It's an industry that is now almost dead, and what is left is an untrustworthy mouthpiece for whoever owns it.

Hey, did I just describe the moto media too? Wink NOT YOU LEWIS!  LOL

Thank you! I just tried to find Stefan's one online, but the original sites that sold it have closed down.

I just asked someone in his camp if there is a pile of English versions that I can have to send out...

I listen to the Paddock Pass podcast and Adam does a fantastic job, not sure if he browses here, but just wanted to give a shout out to him for that.

Would love to hear more of his insights on sx/mx.

Adam doesn't, but I just passed this on! Adam's the first person that I go to for advice and tips about my career.

I think he has some exciting things planned for this year, so I will be sure to share them once he announces...

I think I'll make it a regular 'MXGP Show' feature to get his thoughts on SMX. There's a demand for it, for sure!

I would SO much rather read! I can't tell you how many times I've clicked on something, a review or otherwise, and it's a video which I immediately close because I just want to read the content. Thanks!

In a world of too much digital Moto Media, the written word is still king.

You can craft an opinion succinctly , in a way that doesn't come across as a discussion in a podcast.

Thanks for the effort.

Yamaha's return to Florida, Prado's problem, Sexton's speed, Anstie's angst, WP's components and more!

Your responses kept me motivated. Thank you all so much for that! San Diego Impressions
