If all you watched was the video clip, yeah it looks like it could be an intentional cross jump. If you watched the entire evening of racing then you heard all the comments from both the racers and the commentators specifically saying the loose dirt on hard pack combined with the ruts were hard to deal with because you were getting kicked unpredictably.
The little dude with the funny haircut commenting even did a segment addressing this very issue was what caused Sexton to lawn dart into the face of the jump and fly off the track twice.
Any honest racer knows Deegan didn't intend to cross jump. Yeah, his wild racing style might have contributed to it, but it wasn't on purpose.

He was riding like an asshat that whole video. It's impossible to know what was going through his head, but is it possible this was revenge against Pro Circuit for what Kitchen did at SMX last year? You can say McAdoo has nothing to do with Kitchen, but this is the same kid that took out his frustration on Shimoda at the Finale last year.
