Call me crazy, KR94 26 SX Champ?

Edited Date/Time 1/2/2026 8:19pm

Just have an odd feeling, He rode very well in WSX, Seems like he is ready. Never really been a huge Ken Roczen fan but something tells me he is ready like it's 2017 again? There i said it out loud! LOL

It could happen.

Man, the Suzuki haters will be jumping off of cliffs! 🤣

It was my first thought when Jett went down. Would love to see it. One of those guys you root for more and more over time.

I’d be happy with that.

Off season races mean nothing. He'll start out strong then fade. Championship is not going to happen.

Kenny always looks good in the short format races. I like him, but it’s the 20+1s that he throws the anchor out. No way he is going to be your SX champ.

Why not, he is fast, he tunes his bike better then any other factory team, and maybe  in 27 a completely new Suzuki.

I could see it happening. Wouldn't say he's a favorite but he has a shot.
Jett is out and the top 3 title guys are all on new bikes. Probably his best shot at a title since 2017

Why not? Well, because he has yet to get it done and he’s the type of guy who will win one race and look unstoppable… then go hover around 7th the next race. That doesn’t win championships.

I think Kenny could do it, but he's gotta stop having those disaster races. He always starts a season strong, then has a disaster race or two that throw him out of contention. His stiffest competition will be Sexton, who crashes a lot, but doesn't have the same disaster races Kenny does. Either way, it is a long shot, but I think it's possible.

He would be a very popular champ that is for certain.

I really would have my money on Hunter winning it, is be surprised if he doesn't win it if he makes all the races.

Love to see it. He needs holeshots & top 5 round the first corner every race & there’s a chance

Kenny does the same thing for many years now. Starts off super strong, is up in the mix, then fades. I may be off base but it seems when the tracks get beat and gnarly he’s not willing to go to that edge that you still need to either. Can’t blame him with his injuries and age at this point. I was never a big fan when he was younger, imo he had a lot of excuses when things didn’t go his way, but he has grown on me a bit over the last few years and it is crazy to think how many championships he would’ve won. Talent is second to none

Its about attrition ….who will survive the entire series….hopefully everyone stays healthy and the championship goes down to the last race….I am more concerned about JT$”s mental health with Jett injured….

Here is the thing. Does he have the speed? Yes, no doubt. I also don't agree with Kenny fading, we haven't really seen that at all on the Suzuki. In fact I feel like we have seen Kenny stronger and passing more people late in motos than he did back then on the Honda.

But there is something that he is missing on the Suzuki that he had on the Honda and that is starts. And I definitely don't mean that he is a bad starter now, no. But he was constantly top 3 into the first corner on his Honda every single race. He holeshots on the Suzuki, but he also had plenty of races where he was outside the top 10 out of the first corner and it feels like whenever he had some mediocre starts he got involved in some kind of trouble.

I also think he has to win a race early to get the ball rolling. He had top 3 speed every round during the first half of the season last year but he only got one win.

Honestly nothing would make be happier, been a fanboy since he got kinda famous here in the moto scene in germany and I would love to see him win one before retiring. My heart says Kenny, but my head says Webb/Sexton will be really hard to beat if they all make 17 rounds.

Mmmm it all depends how the first 4 - 5 rounds go, but this goes for everyone:

1. Will Tomac gel with KTM

2. Will Sexton gel with Kawi

3. Will Webb be in gunslinger mode

4. How will Hunta deal with no Jet

5. Will Anderson make a run

6. Will Ducati shock everyone and Barcia & Ferrandis be up front from the get go

7. How is Roczens fitness

Only 1 more week till we see how it goes

He also needs to stay injury free to make a true run at it (I know, goes without saying for anyone). Seems like he consistently misses races every SX season due to injury.

Big KR fan here but I just don't see him winning another Cship. Would I love to be wrong? 100%. Will this be Hunter's best chance, I think so. If Chase can keep his clothes clean, he's the front runner.
