Wow that last battle was epic racing
Dude, I never knew how cool you South Africans are. The crowd shots were next level. People having fun, dancing, waving, singing. What a cool vibe
Most folk here are just tired of shit and are pretty layed back. We like good food, cool beer and some good old racing.
For the most part, tonight delivered, especially that last SX1 race. Folk were going nuts.
Hopefully we get another round next year which will see even more spectators.
Everyone had a great time and behaved themselves. No hooligans and not one fight....just great family fun.
I just got home after hustling for an Uber.

Yeah, the show wasn't too bad for a race on loose gravel with nothing meaningful at stake.
😄
How many times have you been to the FIM awards banquet?
That was really good racing. These lads were committed lol. So happy to see a good SX race of this level in SA.
Anyone else think that Joey raced like an idiot? Fair play in the corners but multiple cross jumps and lunges at Jason on jump faces seemed like poor form.
Great place, great racing
It doesn't look like they had covered the dirt for the rain?
I think Joey raced like someone who wanted to win. He didn't do anything I'd call over the top, no heavy contact, no blatant take out moves. Anderson would have and in fact did do the exact same.
I have a feeling that Chase and Kawi could have benefited from one of these off-season races. Everyone has the Conor McGregor complex at the pre-season press conference; it's the best they've ever felt, the healthiest they've ever been, and the most off-season testing they've ever been able to log. Once rd. 5 hits and the results are less than expected, the complaints of issues they've been chasing since December, or a mysterious lingering injury, surface.
So far, we have Eli, Kenny, Anderson, Webb, Stewart, and the Lawrence bros dialing their chassis and setups in on different track prep/dirt under race conditions.
That was a quality night of racing, track made it interesting again, Blair and Gypsy killed it in the booth ( which surprised me, cos i struggle with his pods other than in short bursts) and the series went to the last lap of the last race.
Contract stuff aside, with Roczen etc , its been a great addition to the calendar IMO .
What great racing! How ‘bout that Suzuki! Jason must be comfy with the bike do be on the edge the way he was.
Daniel and Jayce were excellent too!
What is the accepted pit board etiquette amoung professional mechanics? Has anyone ever been 'corrected' in the mechanics area or pits for crossing the line?
No split screen was a blast from the past. Just like the good old days of ama sx! Sooooo much better. Focus on 1 thing at a time. At no point through this whole series did it feel like I was missing out due to no split screen junk.
I expected better results from Anthony Bourdon, was he coming off injury?
Good stuff. Mixing up the track surfaces was a winner for me and it provided great racing.
Pit Row
Big injury earlier this year. Broke his back and pelvis and dislocated his hip.
Ditto, but I think it's because they don't want to deal with the subjective call on if you were forced off the track.
Another championship Joey doesn’t win.
What's the point of this pathetic little jab? The guy raced hard all the way to the end and wasn't quite good enough on the night.
SX totally delivered this year and under this leadership looks to have a great future, finding it's place in the yearly schedule. That last race was epic! Balls out. And I loved Blair and Gypsy! Gypsy killed it, I thought he was great. Blair is always top notch.
Ando was right when he said Joey doesn’t get enough credit for how good he is.
Didn’t he just win the Australian SX championship a year ago? What a stupid thing to post.
How’s Deegans broken arm by the way?
I am pumped for Anderson and am an Anderson fan but Joey needs to respectfully saw a front end off. He has been taken out and beat down more than anyone and continues to repeat the same thing over and over.
SX is roller derby on dirt. Even still Osborne’s last lap takeout on Savatgy for the 250 title stands out. That was wild.
He tried…
I agree with Clark.
He wanted to but the opportunity did not preset itself unless he went full berzerko which would have taken himself out also.
Are you referring to when Joeys mechanic hit Anderson arm/humerus with the pit board? Saw it on the broadcast.
