Rumors of a joke about rap/rappers.

I don’t know the full story. I do see what they put out.

Muc-Off can choose their reaction. I can choose who I support.

That press release is from 2021 and relates to Mt bikes... Amaury.

I do not know if there more to the story as it relates to Club.

This is from 2021 and has nothing to do with ClubMX. Club was dropped because of tariffs, it’s been stated by multiple members of the team. This...

This is from 2021 and has nothing to do with ClubMX. Club was dropped because of tariffs, it’s been stated by multiple members of the team.

This is the story from 2021 that people are upset about in this thread by the way.

Muc-Off has withdrawn its sponsorship of the Commencal 21 team and will fund an education program for Amaury Pierron following recent social media posts.

Last week, Commencal 21 Team Manager Charlie Juliá shared a photo of Amaury Pierron with cornrows and the words "Next level n----tion" in his Instagram Stories, which Pierron subsequently shared in his own Instagram Stories with the caption "Rap carrer in the making” set to Bobnlarry's 'N---- N---- N----' song. The pair later both apologised for posting the Stories with statements on social media that can be read, here.

Muc-Off reached out to inform us it will no longer be an equipment sponsor for the Commencal 21 team and while it will remain the title sponsor for Pierron's Commencal/Muc-Off team, it has agreed that Pierron will undertake an education course paid for through its sponsorship money.

Correct, and in that case it was justified if they chose to withdraw.  That is not woke, that was a very poor decision by Amaury.

The difference is, Chad Reed was selling himself to sponsors, not 5-10th place 250 guys.

He also had to close up the team after not securing enough sponsorships to keep going.

I think if Mac off could get sold in big box stores it would be a win. its just too easy to throw a couple jugs of simple green in the cart during the weekly Home Depot run without even thinking about it.

Anyone using simple green...they make the purple HD version that is safe for aluminum because the green can corrode aluminum and dull anodizing. it's cheaper to just get some Shout from your local Sam's Club, BJ's or Costco for like $10 for a gallon with an additional spray bottle included. Work's well in a foam cannon too and you do not need to use it anywhere near full strength either.

I haven’t tried it, but simple green also makes an aircraft version. Aluminum corrosion is a four letter word in the aviation world.

I picked up a few bottles of bike cleaner to try based on the reviews from earlier in this thread. Shame Muc-Off can't afford to keep supporting club.

When Lil D went on Pulp I got the vibe that he hates spending any sort of money, namely paying employees enough to live. Don't know him at all, that's just the feeling I got from 1 interview.

Edit: went back and listened, and it wasn't that bad at all. My bad.

Pretty drastic conclusion to draw from 1 interview.

Didn't FMF almost go broke running the 125 Honda team in the late 90's? 1997 thru 1999?

I could be wrong.

It's been over a year I think, but he seemed to be super demeaning to FMF employees, complaining that they wanted more money for an "easy job". I may be remembering it in a different light, but I remember being kind of gobsmacked of how he was talking about the people who make him money.

Interesting, if you can remember drop a link to it. I’d like to listen to it.

I'd like to listen back to it again to see if I still feel the same way before I dig my heels in too hard, I may have come on a little strong with the wording in my original post

My take on it wasn’t that he didn’t want to pay people a living wage, but that he was having a hard time finding people to work period. Which I know was a major issue directly following the pandemic, and in some sense still is an issue. Not sure how long ago this was recorded.

Yea, allow me to backpedal. I might've  been in a testy mood from work, and hearing "welding machines" and labor being the highest cost and saying people would rather "be bums than work", I may have made a few leaps and it compounded as the memory got more distant. He didn't say anything egregious at all.

That looks a little bit weird without any Red Bull signage on the trailer. All the riders have RB artwork on their helmets and jerseys so it looks like they are a major team sponsor, but nothing on the transporter.

FMF's product and financial sponsorship of Star Racing's 250 and the factory Yamaha (star) 450 program, Husky's MX2 and MXGP efforts, along with Rockstar Husky's US 250 and 450 efforts...plus the product and service support for ClubMX, Phoenix Honda, and BarX Yamaha together most likely costs more than the $400-450,000 title sponsorship that Muc-Off had for ClubMX.

Then add in their title sponsorship of KTM's US off-road team (covering WORCS, NGPC, GNCC, Hare and Hounds, Endurocross, etc), their support of Rockstar Husky's off-road program, Phoenix Honda's off-road program, Phoenix Yamaha's ATV programs, AmPro Yamaha's GNCC program, MX101 Yamaha Canada team, plus countless privateer and privateer teams...

Plus, the huge number of events they sponsor and support. FMF pours a ton of money back into the sport. Ohh and marketing / ad spends with the media companies that produce content for viewers to enjoy.

I'd love to know what products you use then?  Muc Off is a moto and cycling company from the start, so you better not use simple green, dawn, shout, or anything else to wash your bikes since they don't title sponsor a team.

What a bunch of tightwads!!  Lol...

FMF is about as core moto as it gets....back when I was still racing WORCS (and had a "B" level sponsorship from them), I could literally call up and chat with Danny LaPorte (yeah - "that" Danny LaPorte) and order whatever product I needed.  FMF is - and has always been - awesome!
