If he complains about the bike, are we going to collectively say “well he ride it before he signed, so no excuse there..” ?

We're going to praise him for riding the most dangerous bike in MX history.

George is lucky to be alive after having to ride a KX450 last summer.

Can’t wait to hear quitter get booed out of the stadium at A-1.  Go Chase!  I’m not saying he’ll beat Jett, but it certainly won’t be from a lack of effort.

This look will even be great without a visor...

They should have a string like the leash on a surfboard. Run it through the helmet on side. Could pull it back on like roll offs. Alpinestars can thank me later.

Does anyone have any reason to think he wont be just as fast as he was on the red or orange bike? I expect the same results hes been getting.

I’m a little surprised by the hype.

Chase isn’t going to “dethrone” Jett Lawrence at this point, but I do think he’s the only rider in the world that Jett is a little bit afraid of. I don’t know when it happened but at some point Sexton went from kind of a wet blanket to an actual monster. He is so fast, so strong, and so willing to hit the ground, that #18 needs to exercise caution when it’s #4’s day and he’s closing in. He is as fast as Jett and so burdened by his own expectations that I don’t think he respects Jett quite the way the others do.

TLDR Chase Sexton is the only guy out there who could beat Jett Lawrence straight up (1 out of 10 times)…

And I’ve never been less excited about a major switch like this. He’s going to be exactly the same guy.

No he has been fast and contending for wins (and titles) ever since he went 450s. It's not about the bike imo. The question is what happens between his ears when he isn't beating Jett on a consistent basis again. He is probably the only guy out there who can beat Jett straight up on his best day though, I just don't believe we will see that more than a couple times per year. Chase is so frikkin unreal on a bike and I really hope we don't get to see weird races/crashes like Pala/Ironman again anytime soon. We need this dude out there in every championship.

Is the only time we have seen Chase beat Jett "straight up" when Jett crashed at Washougal? If there's another time, can you remind me?

Sexton’s Kawi debut and Tomac’s KTM debut are the biggest thing in the sport right now. Sexton’s been smart to capitalize on the PR announcement. Tomac’s will probably be just as big.

Of course the next biggest announcement will be Kawi’s new 2-stroke release (if it happens).

IMO Prado’s KTM debut is bigger than Tomac/Sexton.

It's always exciting when a team begrudgingly signs a third rider to a no salary deal

Hot take: The Kawi is a capable bike. Look at Ando's finishes prior to Prado joining the team. Kawi and/or Ando decides to pull back to highlight Prado and let him tank himself, saving the brand.

Chase's timing is spot on for a heck of a comeback for himself and Kawi. It's almost like this has been in the works for quite some time... (Pre-mid Prado?)

Reading between the lines a little but Chase really hated riding for KTM, he’s a classy guy and isn’t trying to Prado the situation but he didn’t like the team or the bike. It’s interesting because his time there coincided with their financial issues and I have to assume that played a factor in accessibility to parts and general operation of the race team as a whole. Wonder if things were different on a corporate level if he would have had a different experience there. Guess we will never know.

Chase, hunter & Jett will be going hammer and tongs all year. Stamp it. Kawis stability & consistency is just what Chase needs. Hoping Eli can get amongst it on the ktm but I’m not so sure just yet. Bring on A1

Don't get me wrong.  Jett is unbelievable.  So is Hunter.  But, between SX, MX, and SMX, Tomac, Sexton, Prado, and Danger will not make life easy for the Lawrences in 2026.

This year should have been the "best season ever" already. Sadly the moto gods are never with us when we have these expectations, so don't jinx it and just let it happen. 😄

You're right.  2005 should have been James, RC, Chad and Pastrana ripping two strokes.  Still an awesome year, but missing two of four a whole lot.
