Who gets the second spot at Kawi?

Just for off season wild talk (there’s a lot in this thread already) Justin Brayton is really persistently giving AC shit about being the second rider…ac has said over and over that there’s no chance but it’s fun to pretend

Mcelrath wouldn’t be a bad choice if he’s not already got a deal elsewhere. He’s super solid and consistent. Seems easy to get along with.

He’s always one of the best “invisible” riders out there. He’s just so dam boring. Very white bread, but a hell of a rider.

It’s too bad the sport can’t find a way to make it appear to the general audience that a 7-12 place guy is something really special, which it is.

Can HRC promise Jo a 450 seat with the Bros in 27 and beyond??
If they can’t, Jo might well be looking elsewhere..

Lars has said multiple times that they'd make it work to give a 450 seat

I think Mike Alessi deserves another chance. He makes great starts, could get out in front of Jett at the starts and give him hell for a while.

The pay cut in terms of podium and win bonuses seems to be the issue for all those 250 riders. Nothing new.

Guillod is begging for it, can qualify for mains in SX, and can finish top 10 outdoors. I would just give it to him on a one year deal unless there’s someone really good that’s lurking that nobody is thinking of.

I know Jcoop has a deal but I feel like he would get more attention on a two rider team and deserves that.  And Joey would be great just because he did so well the one year he got and it was a bummer that he didn't get to keep going with them.

He would, but I think he’s really in a good spot and might regress on another team.

Lewis said Kawi told him they are looking to find someone they can build around for that second seat and not an older rider.

That person sounds like Chase's close friend Tom Vialle. It sounds like Prado has been trying to get out of his deal for a while now, I can't for the life of me see why they didn't just say "yes gtfo" and go after Tom back in July.

Vialle will be on a Honda back in Eu.

Guys, I am aware of that. Read my post, I'm bitching about it. If Jorge drama was resolved faster Tom is on that seat. He's only back in Europe because it was the best deal on the table. It wouldn't have beat a 2 year Kawi deal I am sure

This thread is cracking me up. How do people who don’t even follow moto end up commenting here?

I am aware. I am saying if this got resolved faster he'd have been there and staying in America. He left because he didn't want to take a 1 year deal with KTM. Not because he wanted so badly to go back to the GPs

Could Huntah be swayed with a big pay day for 27? Dazzy said that they were open to the boys going separate ways if it made sense.. that would let Honda keep big Jo..

Masterpool has been pretty inconsistent but he rides a 450 really well. I would like to see his name up for consideration

I think KTM offered him a one-year deal on the 450. I'm not sure Kawasaki would have offered him much better even if they had gotten rid of Prado sooner. I think the issue is Vialle wants a multi-year deal.

Does anyone know Ivan Tedesco's form of late?? He used to give RC a run for his money. He could be a handy pick up if he's still twisting the goose neck.

He’s always one of the best “invisible” riders out there. He’s just so dam boring. Very white bread, but a hell of a rider.

He was one of the best kept secrets for fantasy MX.

I couldn’t agree more with your last paragraph. The best way to understand how badass these guys are is to attend a race and witness it in person. That will change your whole perspective.

As for the general audience, I think these new drone camera angles are helping, but we need something else. Maybe a big rivalry? Improvements in the tracks? More drama? Remember we’re talking about expanding the general audience, not folks like us. Your thoughts?
