I figured a good majority of the folks on the board have raced or at least been around it to know what's what.  I don't think anyone would bitch about a brake check, a handlebar in the ribs, leaving the inside open and getting your front taken out...that's close racing.  That ain't what I saw.

That ain't what I saw, either. Dirty riding and douchebaggery.

So if Deegs lines up we are guaranteed the win?  That changes everything.🙃

Dude, he'll lap Jett Lawrence on that 250. Haiden's not even human. He doesn't even poop.

I will never be emotionally distraught by the poor judgement of a teenager doing whatever-the-hell-that-was on Saturday night. I want another Chamberlain trophy for MY country of motocross racing brethren, no matter what.

To that point, I am stoked to hear that Hampshire, Cooper and Webb have stepped up to the plate, hoping this works out accordingly and we can kick some a$$!

What did I miss ? What happened with Tomac ?  Why is he not going now?

Had Saturday not happened. I was looking forward to seeing how Deegan would do. Wondered if he could have an RV Budds 07 like ride.  As it is , I can understand not wanting him on the team. The injury alone , and I think it would be a good learning experience for him to have what he did in Vegas result in him being pulled off the MXON team. I get it that he really wanted to win, but it  showed a ton of disrespect for the other racers safety. Thankfully the only injury was a broken collarbone .

Tomac is in for MX1.

He’s saying RJ, JCoop and Webb all said they would go if asked.

I want to see Deegan do MXdN, but not injured, I want to see him finally line up against the best in the world with no excuses in play.

I'd still take Deegan with a freshly plated collarbone over most anyone. He will quite literally (and figuratively) have a chip on his shoulder after Vegas. A pissed off Deegan with something to prove is a fast Deegan.

A pissed off Deegan is a Deegan that can’t control his emotions and does stupid shit (see: his collarbone is broken)

Also we’ve seen him race after an injury/surgery with even more prep time and he was not on the level. Sending a guy with a freshly broken bone is shooting ourselves in the foot when there are other healthy riders, on the same bike nonetheless, that have raced the event before and have the speed. If Deegan was healthy, yes he’s obviously the choice (even despite this past weekend’s antics) but in this moment he is a liability. Just one crash and he could throw the entire weekend for the whole team.

Last point, he wouldn’t race the MXoN last year with a pin in his wrist that he had in all year long. By his own standards he shouldn’t race it with a freshly plated collarbone. This is just a PR move knowing he won’t be racing the event again.

I honestly wanted Deegan to pull his head out and let his riding do the talking because he's phenomenal but he's just a turd in the punch bowl. Sad really.

People will have different opinions on this, but I don't think POS people should get a pass just because they're really good at a sport or skill. Same with the Olympics, if our best swimmer is a POS and beats his wife, no way should he go represent our country. I think that we should have some standards.

Wait a minute stupid aggressive riding is now equal to or worse than domestic violence.....you fucking people need to take a break WTF?

This. If Deegan had done a Zach-O vs Savatgy type move that’s one thing. Mostly everyone would’ve been fine with it. But the dirty and dangerous riding isn’t what happened. It’s pretty clear why most of us aren’t okay with that kind of riding- it causes injuries, which is exactly what happened.

None of the "hits" were vicious. The only reason he broke his collar bone is bc he didn't let go of the bars when he went to the ground.

I guess most of the people posting anti-Deegan were pretty well put together when they were 19. Me, not so much I genuinely was not the choir boy every Deegan hater in MX is, for a million and an international championship the list of things I wouldn't do would be pretty short.  Perhaps the backlash will serve as a growth opportunity for him. My fear is if he gets taken off the team for this, this whole shit show ends in court. Deegan received his prescribed punishments by written rules already, anything above and beyond like taking him off this team, may be construed as a hit to his and his sponsors exposure and income. Another point is DeWolf is racing right? I guess winning is important to some teams as opposed to piousness.

LoL...based on your comment about taking DBoy off the US team may lead to some kind of litigation 🤣...I honestly looked to see if you posted this in the middle of the night and thinking being shit faced drunk inspired this ridiculous take of yours.  At this point, I'm fairly certain being sued by the Deegans isn't on the AMAs radar 🤣

The guys that went last year when others declined should’ve been given first choice if healthy and had the desire to go. Even if not our fastest team on paper believe it would be the “fair” way to choose.

Public opinion aside, is it wise to put someone with a freshly plated collarbone out there to do back to back motos, while having a target on his back? I'd imagine it's going to affect him slightly at least, and doing back to back motos seems like it would exacerbate any issue.

Whats funny with you guys not wanting Deegan on your team is that for the rest of the world we see americans and the US in general like Deegan and his family. He is the Best representation of your country yet you hate him. Deegan is a by product of the american culture…

Just think if he comes back and wins MX2 class, then tells all the doubters to suck it. You guys will lose your minds.

People would be crying on here

Like him or not, I want to see him race.  His collarbone will be fine, Herlings showed that is more than possible.  He has different reasons to want to win at MXoN, he is not going to ride like Vegas, every one of you really does know that.

I think he is part of a circus too, but he will ride the damn wheels off of the bike..  You don't have to like 'the show' to appreciate his drive and riding.  And I don't want to go one more year listening to the BS from the folks south of the equator about him riding this race or not.  Let him race at 90%, I don't care, he will give it his all, and 90% of Deegan is 99% to the rest of the world, it just might be a good race.

Most of this forum would have lost their minds if Haiden pulled a Zach-O or a Kitchen take out. It wouldn’t be celebrated like how when Kitchen did it. That’s for sure..

It’s redemption time… Deegan will not let Vegas outcome be his last 250 race.
