What race was it where Deegan was a d-bag in the post race press conference , saying that because he trained with Kitchen that he knew he would fade?

It's never too late for pay back.

Perhaps Deegan had it coming, but Kitchen taking himself out in the process kind of negates the "payback". That Kitchen has been in the 250 class a few years now with no titles and no path to the 45os for now, while Deegan is a multi-time champ being touted as Jett's next big threat next year, makes this all seem all the more petty. Kitchen has every right to have an axe to grind with Deegan, but Kitchen should focus more on Kitchen at this point in his career than who he thinks deserves "payback". Eric Sorby comes to mind when I think of a "lites" class rider interested in paybacks, champs most times do not.

Was deegan not responsible for the practice start crash that left Levi on the ground? Im guessing that might have been the final straw

I’m pretty sure Kitchen has a pretty clear path to a Kawi 450.

Cole Davies and Coty Shock come to mind.

That or something else a few corners earlier?

I suspect (as did the commentators) Danger Boy might have “run it in” on LK while trying to make up for his poor start.

The actual move reminded me of the one Deegan put on his team mate Cole Davies. A move that was totally unwarranted at the time. Deegan stayed up in that one, and looked back to see what he’d done to Cole.

Aggressive take out moves. Just block passes really. Would spoil the sport if they became “normal”/frequent. It seems to be the “what goes around, comes around” “code” seems to keep them in check. Especially in the 450 class.

Dreegs can expect some more once in the 450s if he keeps dishing it out.

I haven’t seen or heard how Deegan will handle and comment this but it will be interesting to see. If he plays it off and says that’s racing and doesn’t blow it up he will get my respect. Davies definitely have my respect on how he handled it. I agree on that he’s been rough to other guys like mentioned before but I also don’t think he’s done it as aggressive as Kitchen did.

Rc, Bubba, Rv, Dungey, Jett etc seemed to always avoid situations like this and raced clean. Of course the love tap on Alessi is memorable and bubbas takeout on MC but for the most part they focused on other things.

Both went down. But Deegan lost the overall he was almost certain to get and the massive points lead he would have. What did Kitchen lose? A 4th or 5th place overall?

Kitchen had a mini win by taking more from Deegan than he lost. If Shimoda gets second or better next week that take out cost Deegan $250k.

There's a reason most champions stay well clear of the drama and nearly everyone who starts out this way grows out of it. It's counterproductive. TBD if Deegan will learn that lesson or if random acts of violence like this will be a normal part of his career because he refuses to stop running his mouth and disrespecting his competitors.

Its unfortunate the title could possibly be decided by someone who had zero chance of winning . Im guessing the deegan camp has already decided to keep charging forward with their plans of dominating the sport and not slow down to battle with some 10th place guy struggling to keep getting rides.

Both the Davies and Schock things were ”gentle punts” compared to Levi’s assault and with Davies, it secured the SX title.

I’m a fan of both racers and I saw Hayden being aggressive on the start with kitchen so it looked like an instant reaction back. But it makes it more interesting. Remember we are talking about young teen boys! Just think back to being 19 and how fired up you were. I’m glad I made it out of my 20s. Gives me shivers to remember some of my bad decisions that could have got me or someone else killed.

Agreed, riding around with no front brake is super dangerous….. lol

The gentle punt that broke Schock’s collar bone? Against a guy with no dog in the fight. Ok got it lol.

You can’t act and ride the way Haiden does and not expect to get punched in the mouth every once in a while.

First rule of takeout club: Don’t take yourself out.
Second rule of takeout club: if you ignore rule #1, do it late in the moto so you don’t lose too many positions.

Reminds me of this at Foxborough Marv on Eli.

Assault? That’s funny. Deegan thought he could run his mouth about everyone and no one ever take it to him. Guess he was wrong.  His pass on Davies was no different. He purposely took him out, only difference he didn’t crash. It’s not for the title if it’s a week early.  Had Deegan checked up, Levi doesn’t go down.

That was both a parting farewell shot and some foreshadowing for next year. You can only taunt the other monkeys for just so long before they throw poop at you.

Cost to Levi < cost to Deegan. Was a worthwhile investment

Aggressive riding for a win is way different than aggressive riding because you don't want someone else to win.  Kitchen wasn't going to win whether Degan was there or not.   Bitch move on Kitchens part.

In most circumstances I agree. I acknowledge being hypocritical when it comes to the Danger Boy. Been waiting a long time for somebody to dispense some justice on the big mouth.
