Just saw on the homepage that Vince Friese will be on a stark for WSX. This should be interesting as he is known as the king of dirty moves on an ICE bike. The question is how many victims is he gonna make if nobody can hear him? The other riders better protect those inside at all time cause you never know if you’re about to get FRISED!
As I said before, here comes the silent assassin.
He will get a good start and be even harder to pass than normal.
Oh no

Not really sure why a brand trying to build a positive reputation would sign one of the most hated riders in the sport. Also, I'm a Stark owner...
F that guy, hope someone cleans him out and ends his season early. How is someone that offers other riders money to take out his own teammate still allowed on the track?
Running electric bikes with ICE bikes is so stupid. Would Formula-E run with ICE cars? I don't get the people that make these decisions. Kind of like giving four-strokes a huge displacement advantage.
His starts are gonna be unreal I would imagine.
Best thing to happen to the series
Damn, I lost a bet. I said MAV would post a link in this thread to the last thread about Vince on a Stark. My friend said MAV would post the "We Landed on the Moon" meme.
Just my damn luck..
When I saw the title of the thread I would have made that bet too. Guess we're both losers for today!

It's probably safer to put on a silent bike a rider actually losing places during the race than a rider coming from behind to gain a lot of places.
Strange decision, also curious to see how it goes with Hicks (would have been funny to see them as teammates in the same category) but one thing is sure with Friese, they're gonna get a lot of attention.
Anyway, hope Zaragoza smokes him!
We're back in black 😎
As much as I dislike the way Friese rides , it will be interesting to see a rider of his level on one. He has had some impressive finishes in WSX rounds ( well impressive to me). I hope that he can speak openly about the advantages and disadvantages he feels the Varg has.
I hope that Vince still has the fire that has made him so disliked and will not just be rolling around and collecting a check. We know he can start up front on an ICE bike, I wonder how he will do on the electric.
For now I'll have to settle for Vince on Varg. I hope that he can help Stark show how good the bike can be and attract other riders to ride it in WSX.
Funny , of all the riders to put on a Varg. The guy known for good starts is probably the safest to put on one. If he starts in the lead, nobody has to worry about not hearing him behind them as he is coming through the pack. Kind of ironic that the things that make him such a menace on an ICE bike will in a way make him safer on an Electric( if You agree with the lack of sound being a safety concern).
Does he not plan on defending his # 1 plate in arenacross.
Correct.
Pit Row
Don’t quote me on this but if I remember correctly the e bikes in ax weren’t that huge of an advantage on the starts.
"They'll never know what hit them!"
🤣😂
The other riders are going to need to run surge protectors.
In AX they were racing gas vs electric. Unless the Vargs got better, he's at a disadvantage. They were not good in whoops or busting out tricky rhythm sections and so so on the starts. Based on that, I believe he's going to be more of a wrecking ball than ever.
True, electrics only won one "clash for cash" race in AMA AX last season, they weren't outstanding.
Worthy of note, fastest X class rider was Hicks and AFAIK he had very little experience on the Stark before the start of the series. He was jumping off his Yamaha and on his Stark at every round, racing both classes to get more cash (and he did good for himself in both classes). Interestingly, as the season progressed, he became as fast, and at times faster, on his Varg than on his YZ.
Now he's got so much more experience on the electric bike, won races in AX UK, got solid results in SX tour, he will surprise a few in WSX (Zaragoza as well). Longer/faster tracks in WSX could also benefit electrics.
About Friese, he might be a bit faster than Hicks on a gas bike but unless he's had massive training on the bike, he will need a little time to adjust his style to the electric bike.
Which homepage did you see it on? Please share.
Vital homepage but I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere else so far.

Thx. I haven't heard anything released about VF riding a Varg. I confirm tomorrow, it's almost midnight in Spain.
He's gonna kill someone
Friese and Prado both get good starts and then ride a wide bike. Difference is Friese has the determination and Prado has the talent.
As for starts on the Stark, I have no first hand experience, but in talking with Derek Dorresteyn who was one of the Alta founders they had issues with the ebikes wasting a lot of energy throwing roost instead of propelling the bike forward. That may explain why the Stark wasn't competitive even with the likes of Bogle on it.
It's really not that big of a deal, we do it all the time and nobody cares.
A stark won that championship, it just wasn’t Bogle that won it…https://thepack.news/stark-future-achieved-a-historic-victory-by-winnin…
