DB's explanation on the pod didn't really offer much.... they disagreed on what route to take going forward. What's there to disagree with at this point unless he's wanting to race 450? Which coast to race? Just seems odd.

Guess that would do it

The more I think about this, the more I feel like this is a poor decision. His results haven’t been good enough to net a better ride than ClubMX. I hope he proves us wrong but man it feels bad. ClubMX is like a diet Star racing with the facility and amenities.

Once you start paying for a ride, the price goes up every year.

I’d be sore/have some broken bones after falling from the sky and have a 200 pound motorcycle hit me.

I was also thinking it had to be a pay for ride thing.

That’s so crazy, isn’t the entire goal of getting a ride is so you aren’t paying for your racing?  Man, even minor league ball players get some cash…

Had to be paying for the ride and club wanted more $$.  There’s a lot more of this going on than people know about in this sport. I’d bet there’s going to be more riders paying for club rides.

So how do you get a podium race winner? They pay one top guy like Marchbanks, Phil, or JMart and the rest pay?

ML somewhere on here recently posted what he thought the breakdown was and it was only 1 or two guys paying and most getting paid at club.

Makes sense in a lot of ways. Get the infrastructure and resources that would have cost you anyway and the legitimacy of being on real team. Bet on yourself and see what you can do. One step above the privateer support programs that have no shame in transporting bikes and providing a semi for a fee.

Win win situation for the team. You take their money and get to claim any success they might have as yours. Nobody holds it against you if they fail and fade away.

I wonder how many of these teams fund a good part of their budget this way?

It's not crazy that riders are paying to be on a team. Happens in most motorsports, riders get sponsors and bring money to a team. Josh Coppins paid for a spot on team Suzuki when he first went to the GPs.

Y'all is in the Oxford dictionary as well as Merriam-Webster, so I use it. "I seen..." is just incorrect. But in the spirit of the original post, did he re-sign or resign? Both have been used loosely, as of late. 🤣

Yaa he responded to one of my posts about someone riding for free over there versus riding for free on a different team. Club has a lot of amenities and other things that would be beneficial to someone riding for free and and on a bonus/all living expenses paid program. Paying to be on a team is something different to me and I think it brings a little less legitimacy to said team.

I'll take option 1 that you listed ... it's you being a bit of a bitch.

Looks like their structure will be four riders for 2026 now. Two with salary, one without salary but all stuff covered, last one...unsure.

I thought Ross was staying with BarX for next year? Pretty lame if Ross or Turner have to pay for rides and can’t get at least ride for free with everything covered.

Is this why he didn’t race today?  Can’t he just race on his own?

Parker Ross and Lux Turner have both signed with BarX Yamaha.
