Thanks, so nothing spectacular but alittle better. Was the series as strong as it is today with Jett, Hunter, chase, Tomac, cooper all fast ?
I think when you factor in new format, new chassis style, new country, new tracks where Prado is currently at might be about what you’d expect ?
Next year with the data assuming he stays healthy I’d expect a levelled up in results forsure.
Finishing 19th in a moto and getting straight up beat by Mitchell Harrison isn't what anyone expects. This is some serious shifting of the goalposts
Sure if he was actually getting 5-8 and saying hey I’m not comfortable on the bike, it’s an adjustment and I need to be better at setting it up. If he did that, some fans would be disappointed thinking he would have been better but the majority of fans would understand. Instead you get, straight up giving up and zero accountability. I like Prado and I think he’s a decent dude but this ain’t it.
Hopefully one day when he’s off Kawi we get both sides of the story and the details. I think it’s a little bit goofy Kawi hasn’t talked to the media when asked. I don’t think there is a good excuse for not talking with the media when you have Jorge railroading the bike every week. If we are going to be mad at riders for not giving information after a bad ride, the team should be held to the same standard. Just like in all professional sports.

He’s a World Champ and should be doing better. There have been other guys with way less credentials and way less bike come here and do better than what Prado is doing.
Well done….can’t argue with facts. Golf Clap to you Sir…👏💯
I really think it’s mainly his attitude towards the whole thing that is putting fans off. He’s taken zero accountability for the way things have gone and has made it seem like it’s him vs the team rather than everyone working as a team.
It wasn't ok for Webb, that's why he switched, twice.
Ask Webb, he don't give a fuck about a second or third in SX overall. So making up for the bike and be second or third, fourth, fifth whatever is not something i can say anyone of them subscribe to.
If that was the case, neither Eli or Chase would be swinging at settings at round 8 or 9 after getting race wins and podiums. They would just run with the race and overall winning setting they already have for this year, and compensate for the rest of it on the bike.
Kawasaki has taken deep dive after Tomac left. They are now 6th best team just beating Beta and privateers cant do much worse.
Why don’t they come into the pits and keep making changes once the race is out of reach.
Keep testing testing testing.
Because Prado appears unwilling to put in that much effort. He’s flat out getting beat occasionally by riders the Euro fans criticize as dangerous lappers. I don’t think Kawi is helping much. But this is 95% on Jorge Prado.
I am massively disappointed…. My wife and I sat with the Spanish team in the Thor grandstands at 2018 MXoN and cheered our butts off for the kid with them when he put in a great ride. It was an absolute blast.
I think the bikes current setup is beating him up so he just rides around at 70% after 10-15mins.
Come on in every 2 laps and make some adjustment shitty or not. Work on lap times under race conditions. Do something.
Prado is cruising around and still their best rider🙄
Not to mention Masterpool who was 6-10 on a privateer Kawasaki just a couple years ago.
Yes, I would expect a multi world champ to out-perform a privateer.
Too fucking funny though.
“When has anyone done better on a Kawasaki?”
“Here’s some examples”
“Okay but I wouldn’t call that spectacular”
He got passed by 8 rides on the first lap, how is the bike beating him up? 🤣 The bike isn't the problem.
Different bike
Yeah. Much different.
He bolted up his 250 suspension on a fully stock bike (after his 250 blew up) and went racing. Zero testing, development, or tuning. He didn't even have a pipe for the first few rounds.
Has anyone mentioned Prado himself days he only practices at 70 percent?
Seems like it could be a pretty massive factor in setting up the bike.
Pit Row
I think we are all in agreement that Jorge needs to own more accountability compared to what he is currently showing. I also think Phil’s comments on Pulp this week were telling.
I think the bike’s power is not good for him.He probably doesn’t feel comfortable with the power delivery, so he doesn’t push. He could be more diplomatic in interviews. Nicoletti doesn’t like the power on the production based bike either, so maybe it’s closer to the production profile than you would expect a works motor to be.
Thats fine if you wanna go that route wit the excuse
Masterpiece had a great year that year and was the talk of the pits that year, but lets not forget it was also a depleted 450 field woth a few guys also riding hurt
Would you call those results spectacular then ?
At the end of the day everyone within these forum knows what a talent Prado is, if he’s riding a bike with has a really poor feeling, then he’s not going to over ride it & get hurt too still get beat but the Honda.
Take a chill pill & trust the process. They will either figure the bike out for him, or he’ll have to find another bike.
Prado is still Prado
You mean like the depleted field this year? And he still can't run top 5!
Red bud in 23 6 of the top 15 were factory riders lots of privateers mixed in.
Red Bud in 25 14 of the top 15 are factory riders everyone of them with 250 and or 450 titles to their names. Shout out to Harri Kullas for being the only non factory rider in the top 15
Also Prado finished 6th.
Hows that 70% working out for him 😁
Alright I'm now convinced this is a Prado burner account because you are giving the most ridiculous excuses for his shitty performance
His last moto Prado's fastest lap was NINE SECONDS slower than Jett. Jett could ride a 150R and do better than that
It's still a depleted field. Webb and AP out. Plus, Barcia, JA and Malcom may be "factory riders" but they aren't top 5 guys.
At Washougal he got beat by Colt Nichols and Mitchell Harrison! Wtf?
Both got their career-best result (450 MX) in that race. Harrison got 10th place but is usually a 15th-20th place guy it looks like.
Eli Tomac got beat by a first year AMA privateer who isn't even full time in US, and is on a stock YZ where suspension hasn't been services all season. He doesn't even ride in the weeks 😂
WTF?!
Literally the same shit. They play around swinging with settings. Hit and miss. 🤡
Playing around with settings doesn't get you 19th place second moto and 14th overall. Lack of effort does!
