Oh go ahead and get the VIP experience
LOL. Went to Red Bud for the MXoN race and spent $750.00 for a VIP Diamond section. Had to beg my buddy to spend that much for a ticket. This years Diamond VIP ticket $2500.00, well FUCK YOU, is what I got. So with that, were out. GO USA. And if your in the Santa Maria area, stop on by, were having a free MXoN VIP party with free beer (6 beer max).
I'd pay that for a good concert, and it's much shorter.
That being said, the money goes towards the band that's playing. If the money actually went to help teams get to the event, and the riders, I'd say that's fair. But I feel like most of it goes to Luongo's pockets.
It would be cool to see a breakdown, of how much of the ticket price goes where, then it would be an easier decision.
How else are they going to fund the huge prize purse?

I don’t even drink and that’s cool as heck.
Sick as hell bro, wish I was in cali for that 💯
As much as I hate paying more money to Infront who don’t give back to the riders and teams (no hate on Ironman track owners) I will pay to go see this race. Curious if they charged similar rates for the last two events in Europe. Anybody attend that can chime in?
Yeah, I was looking forward to getting VIP tickets since I live in IN. But, $2500..... Not happening. Poor man's tickets for me.
So do the poor men know where a hole is to get in for free? Asking for a friend😂
I was at Matterley last year. I got tickets early and they worked out to be $139 for the whole weekend. One day tickets purchased early were around $90 (my wife only went for Sunday). Turnout at Matterley was pretty poor IMO in 2024. Ironman sounds like a rip-off for sure (those VIP ticket prices are absurd), but honestly compared to the average Americans disposable income its probably close to a wash ($140 compared to $90 for the 1 day ticket at Matterley). All of my European friends/coworkers tell me things are really tight over there for the average person.
Wonder how many Euros we will see at Ironman this year? I do hope a bunch come over, makes it more fun...
Find your way through the corn field maze and you’re golden…
No, I do not mind paying the ticket prices, just the VIP is absurd.
Red Bud was $1850 for VIP Diamond...to me, that was absurd back then, but it was a splurge. I think they'll find they far exceeded the limit this time around.
Yeah, 2022 MXON was not $750 for Diamond VIP. I paid more than $750 for the 2nd Tier VIP. This year the prices are definitely a little excessive.
It's Iron Man/local organizer who sets the VIP pricing, not Infront. 2500 is a no go. 750 absolutely fine
It will probably be sold out anyway since most charge it as customer marketing event and let's their company foot the bill.
Corn might be picked by then, your cover might be blown.
I expect the place to be busting at the seams at these prices. Could probably charge more. Most of the camping is already sold out.
Did VIP at red bud and didn't regret it. Doing it again this year. The sticker shock is real but includes pit access, parking, food, booze..... takes the sting out of it a little. If the race keeps coming back here every few years I won't keep doing it but for now I'm fine with splurging.
They were $125 if you bought them by the end of January.
Pit Row
Those prices seem incredibly high, much higher then even MotoGP.
Yes, we did not regret the VIP ticket at Red Bud. It was AWESOME. Parked by gate, private bathrooms, ok food, all the monsters, beer and wine you can drink. If your an alcoholic, this tickets for you. But why get shitfaced at race and remember nothing? I would just like to see a one little line listed below the VIP ticket to say, "Portion of proceed goes to help Ironman facility with throughout the year. Anyways on with the VIP FINGERDO MXoN party at the crib. In the process of booking retired supercross, motocross racer and World Supercross Champion for event.
I agree that's a lot of money but it's cheaper than going to Ernee, France for next years race.😉
I took my wife to a concert last Friday for our wedding anniversary. Tickets for the two of us ran nearly $300 and it was for Sammy Kershaw, Aaron Tippin and Colin Ray, all old timers and not current stars. The concert lasted about 2 hours. At least at the MXoN you're there all day and see the best riders in the world.
Where is the VIP section viewing at the track anyway?
Not sure if all of them include it but diamond also gets you into sky box and diamond deck
Gotcha.
I can say that after being at Spring Creek last weekend I am glad I didn’t buy vip tickets, those seats were getting blasted by the direct sun all day with know shade coverage. I am also glad I didn’t buy the Monster section seats because people were packed in there. TBH I considered both options for my whole family. But in the end GA tickets were better all around.
Selling high priced VIP tickets is fine, but they should be well worth it and so far it’s been pretty lack luster.
Sorry, should have mentioned it was 2018 at Red Bud.
Same we did VIP in 2018 totally worth it and then they tripled prices in 2022 and raped everyone. Total BS.
Yep had everything lined up to go to Des Nations this year but after thinking about what we’d spend to go get irritated by people that can’t hold their liquor we’re out. We’ll watch on TV again and spend the $ to go riding ourselves.
While the prices are very steep this year, so many things have doubled or more in price since 2018. Compare the prices of something like milk, eggs, or bread back then to now. Double the cost is significantly higher than just keeping up with inflation, though.
They have us by the short hairs. I'm going to go, pay the money and not think about it.
My buddy bought our tickets, I’m renting the cabin. Maybe I came out ahead?? He didn’t spring for the vip, so it’s probably close to a break even.
I went to both redbuds and slipped around in the mud. Sure would be nice if it doesn’t rain this year. Also attended the first Ironman that was a muddy mess, watched many people slide down the big hills, including my wife, girlfriend at the time. Knew she was a keeper after that as she never bitched, and could give two sh… about moto.
See you there!
