Does it get any better than this sport?? Soo many people have no idea what theyre missing. They really should have taken that netflix offer, this is a million times better than f1. F1 is cool, but this is the greatest sport on planet earth bar none. You couldnt have written a better script than jmart holeshotting both motos and winning his last ever race at his home track.

We also just so happen to have 2 brothers whooping ass going 1-2 in the 450 class, the japanese kid goes 1-1 last week in front of the ceo of Honda, haiden deegan still gets the overall with a blown leg, America won the mxon on home soil and could do it again this year, cairoli is 40 years old and got a 9th place last week moto 1 riding the ducati in its first race in the us, last week jett goes from 18th to first, this week he passes 2 dudes 1 corner….. its so good.

Probably the most excited I've been, watching a moto. That was incredible. Really happy for JMart and his family. Good people.

Was so bummed not to watch Jerm kill it at thunder but watching today is something I’ll never forget. Was truly as badass as it could get. What a ride. Come back to Leadville JMart!

I’m telling you this is the new RV at mxon on the 250, ppl are going to be talking about this day for the rest of time. When tomac retires in 2 years and its his last race the announcers are going to ask “could tomac pull a jmart tonight and pull the holeshot and get a walk off victory in his last ever race”? Jmart just entered motocross lore and this will be brought up every year for as long as the sport exists. What a freaking badass ride. He deserves it too, nobody works harder than jmart. Plus all of the injuries and heartache hes suffered over the years, this day makes it all worth it. What a legend!

Everybody screamed every single lap as he went by! Myself and the people I was with all cried watching him on the podium after moto 2.  What an amazing family and a great guy man.  Awesome day.

Man just watched the 2nd moto and that left me speechless. The Martin Brothers have always been some of my favorites. Seem like good guys in general and to see Jeremy go out like that is beyond cool. Hang your head Jeremy you deserve that one.

IMO, Jeremy won the overall.  Jo clearly hit the step-up on a red Cross flag..  If rules we’re truly being followed without gray area, Jeremy definitely won this overall.

I killed an entire 20V battery blowing an air horn by the whoops for Jeremy the entire 2nd moto.

That was a legendary ride, and hard to believe its even possible in the modern era.

Long live #6

hell of a way to go out, Stefan Everts last moto win at the MXoN in 2006 comes to mind as well for send offs, ,

Unreal performance by the #6 today. Wow. Two commanding holeshots, followed by a podium in Moto 1 and a win in Moto 2. Absolutely   amazing.

JMart is a legend, but it doesn’t reflect well on the current 250 class.

He finished 20th at Pala. It reflects well on the incredible power of the human spirit that he willed himself to one last incredible day on a tracks he's logged thousands of laps on.

No I think this was the perfect way to retire

Yes, he retired today on top.  But that doesn’t mean he can’t enter an occasional race while in retirement and still have a chance to podium. Think Junkyard Dog…

I remember several years ago watching Jmart getting carted off Muddy Creek with a broken back thinking I just watched a rider get paralyzed, seeing his career come full circle like this and retiring with a win was one of the best moments I’ve seen in sports period

He could, but Millville doesn't quite have the same home track advantage as Southwick. If he's OK with disappointing results, then hel  yea do the one off. But only doing it to get a podium record could end up being a very unsatisfying pursuit of a white whale.

That was insane. Took almost a year and a half to recover

Based on his ride yesterday he could stay fresh and definitely podium one more time, or two times to take the record, while in retirement.  If you watch his interviews he felt he came up short and wanted more results out of his career.  If I'm him I'm staying fresh and entering a few more races while in retirement to try and tie or take the record.  Yesterday was his retirement race and it will never be topped....any other future race is just a one off in retirement.

The Monday after the 97 national .  I rode with Johns pal Mike Dortey from Cal. His twin brother owns vintage iron .  Mike rode John,s cr250 we had a blast riding .  Then I worked with Iron Mike he drove the tractor I was on a hay wagon picking up 55 gal trash barrels .  We had fun I found huge bag on m&m ,s  I,m eaten them throwing them at Mike. Act like I,m eating a pork chop I found . Haha  We took a couple breaks climbed the tower etc.  I asked who are those 2 tiny kids riding.  He said those are John,s boys .  They where riding the pee wee track on Pw 50,s I think . I said cool the boys are rippen the laps . He said they ride for hrs there both fast . I don’t remember which Brother but he said he has something extra etc.JMart,s 1st pro am was at sunset ridge he should do that race too.  Alex,s 1st pro am was Crystal Falls in the UP d16. They where both on Suzuki,s.

Obviously it's all up to him and what he wants. Does he want to keep chasing a record more than he would be content with his storybook ending? I didn't see the interviews yet, so I'm not sure if he was expressing he's hungry for more or just was stating he felt he could have done more in his career. Yes, this round went about as well as it possibly could have by anyone's wildest imagination of it, but if you're willing to keep going to chase more stats, you have to be willing to accept that it may not go the way you want (see Pala/Hangtown with poor results and hitting the deck). Would he be ok with coming up short again after already calling it beforehand?

Me personally, I'm walking away with my health and the best outcome of the decisions and ultimatum I've already set for myself, and being happy/content with what I've accomplished and moving on to the next chapter.

Jmart, and Amart are going to be too busy running a track, mowing the grass and everything else that is needed to maintain  that fabulous facility.

And running those marathons.

That was fantastic.

Over 11 years  since his first National moto win.

What a fantastic race and amazing end to his career! Just checked and his last moto win was Budds 2021, when he went 3-1 to win the overall in front of both Lawrence brothers. It’s a shame injury’s set him back and prevented him from winning more titles, and that he never really had much of a go of it on the 450.
