Jeremy Martin retiring like a badass.

Fairytale ending, you couldn't make it up.

Also give that drone operator a huge raise, some of those laps following Jeremy absolutely ripping the track to bits were epic.

Hopefully he returns again and takes the record for most podiums

No I think this was the perfect way to retire

I couldn't agree more. Today's ride was epic and he would never duplicate it. If he tries he will end up hurt. Retire with a moto win. Dont come back next year either. Blunt - yes I know but keep it legendary.  My 2 cents.

The beer at the press conference was the icing on the cake of a perfect retirement ride!

Fucking beast.  So cool.  Trying to think of who else has gone out with a win like that  All I can think of was RC.  That's some rare air.

Roger Decoster went 1-1 at his final GP, but Jmart basically came out of retirement to come back and win his last moto so I think Jmart tops them all!

Nostalgia kicked in when I saw the 6 front plate in the lead. Must be running the same font.

I had taken this random pic of #71 back in 2013 at Millville - not really knowing who it was. By the next year he started dominating..

Perfect ending to a great career..

Man, what a storybook ending. These don’t happen often.

If Joe S was docked 1 position in the first moto for jumping on the crossed flag. It would of gave J Mart the oa win.  J/S

What a story book ending, you could not have written it better.. incredible

If I’m remembering correctly after John Dowd “retired” from professional racing he was still racing the series that Southwick was a part of with his son and all for fun. So when he would race the National at The Wick, it wasn’t like he was coming off the couch. I could be wrong, and most the time I am, but what Jeremy Martin just did was completely unreal!! To have this as your last race before retiring is nothing short of a gift from the Motocross Gods, which is very rare! Cause this sport has chewed up and eaten more riders than you could possibly imagine!! Bet it’s gonna be one hell of a night for the Martin family!

I may be wrong, but Roger and Carla also won their last races.

This shows Jeremy is a true Champion.

What a great day.

Huge fan of JMart. Glad he went out this way. Injuries have been a bitch for him. Hats off to Deegan for not pushing the pace and settling for a 1-2 OA. That gave Yamaha a 1-2 for the day.

I’d never touch a bike after that. Holy epic. A podium would have been huge but that dominant first moto was something else! What a day.

I've talked to JMart multiple times and he's just an awesome person too. What a way to go out. Come back for one more race that's right next to the house you grew up in and grab 1st in your final moto. It's like a movie script!

He was sneaky good that year. Keeping Tomac honest in some motos for half the race. Not many guys take that next step from 4-5 to winning.

I remember him winning the first 4 motos of the '14 season and just smashing everyone by 30sec gaps. One of the greats for 250 mx riders. I wonder how a GP career would have gone for him

These are the moments you always hope you'll see, like Bill Mazeroski hitting a game-winning home run in the bottom of the 9th, game 7.

It's going to be difficult for it to sink in how lucky we were to see a guy win his last-ever race on the property he was raised on.

That was so fun to watch.  Congrats to JMart!  Going out high.  Love it!

That is exactly why I love this sport. That was so awesome to witness. Mighta shed a little tear or two.

And JT is such an amazing announcer. His interview in the podium was all time. He knew exactly how to capture the moment.

I would love to see Jmart in the booth someday. He has a gift for words.

Id never race again.   Beyond unbelievable.   If this was a movie script nobody would take it serious.  Old 30+ retired guy comes back for one last race and wins final moto?

So badass.   Street cred for life.

You can’t beat our sport.
When J-Marts competitors, mechanics, industry top brass are  happy for him. Plus icing on the cake; on his home track with the family, for me it was awesome. Plus the holes he pulled, the guy rode with heart, probably thinking this is my last shot. Awesome race, hats off
