People ride them in the hills, you just can’t hear them 🙃🤣
I don’t think Varg had legs to start with but I’m clueless on how many units have been delivered, just my gut. I know two people that have them. I see the same one at Ultimate MX quite often.
I think the strategy they used to get bikes to market was low risk for the manufacturer, but hurt potential future sales.
You see all kinds of ads for Jap and Euro bikes, Facebook etc. I never see anything Varg.
3 out of 4 guys that I know in town that bought one sold it within a year. It was not what they thought it would be and the battery time was a let down.
Especially during winter conditions.
Another friend of mine from another town bought one, a couple of weeks ago we was going for a ride and had to ride a couple of kilometers on a road before getting on some trails.
I would say about 4 kilometers distance and he rode at 50 km/h on the road and lost 15% of battery on that short distance/time so I can’t say that I was impressed about the battery and understand why the other guys I know sold theirs.
I see them all the time. In relation to how small a company they are, I think there are quite a few out there. Are there any sales metrics available to the public?

I seen handfull of them at our local tracks mostly Vet riders and they seems to be happy with bikes. For my usage battery or charging speed isnt there yet for sand tracks we have. Bike with 2 batteries you can swap at track and charge at home could work.
I looked it up and a estimates 1k units a month
It’s a boutique brand, not a volume one, so you’ll never see a bunch of them sold. The bigger OEMs will be the only ones able to sell ev mxers in any sort of volume.
It all went downhill after vital bullied theycallmebrianmynameisbrianiridestark
I seen one or three every time I'm at the track in Socal. It's the guys that love being at the cutting edge of new tech. They are sweet bikes. No air filters is appealing haha.
I think they need to figure out swappable batteries.
I was watching the two dudes running the drones for NBC broadcast at Redbud yesterday. They had two camera drones and a bunch of battery packs. Scale that up. We all bring a gas jug to the track, what if you had one or two other batteries too.
That said, I don't want two strokes to die either. Variety is the spice of life eh.
I'm waiting for them to get in the used pricepoint of where I dont think twice about it and can pick one up to ride in the backyard.
If you aren't seeing ads for people selling theirs, wouldn't that imply that most owners are keeping them?
There are 251 new Stark Vargs, and 5 used, listed on Cycle Trader.
Beagle, RealSasquatch in 3…2…1…
I think they are a good bang for the buck. If I lived anywhere I could ride it I would have one.
If it was legal to race I'd have one
They had a ride demo at the practice track I was at last weekend. I dont want to ride one because I'm afraid I'll like it too much lol. My reactionary novice brain will be like, the reason I'm slow is because I dont have this bike!!
That was my exact reaction after riding one! First time I can ever remember legitimately getting winded/tired from riding, and not just pumping up first. Felt like hopping on an old farm tractor when I got back on my KX450.
I'm too cheap to have others to do a top end each year and for me it takes many hours in the garage so I'm happy never have to do that any longer. The yearly maintenance was the biggest reason for me to go Stark Varg.
They are lovely to ride super fun, love the adjustability in the air.
Of course, as they are not allowed to race mx there is a limited pick up but regardless I guess they are already immensely more successful than Alta?
Pit Row
They are what they should be: a niche bike for the niche buyer.
Nothing more.
I might ride one, most likely will never buy one.
Truth be told that Lewis guy needs to go back to England and Lindsey should have jumped off the top of the semi when he had the chance ..yet here I am … me personally I like the stark !
Being that the AMA basically banned them from most all competition in the largest market in the world I would say they are being killed off just as other electric brands were. The bike itself is amazing and would be great for so many riders to own.
From Albany Motorsports Park this past weekend. Definitely seeing more of them in this time frame compared to the Alta and when it came out.
I raced together with 18 Vargs in Sweden this Friday.
We absolutely adore our Stark (it’s my sons really) - he waited two years for it, now had it a couple years. No issues. No nuts ‘n bolts come loose. No air filter changing (!!!!!). No splashing gas about. Yeah, he really, really wants to race it…..Everyone we let try it -gets a big ass smile on their face, which is soooo cool. Nailing the 80 horses across a grass field is top-shelf thrilling….. We have 4 strokes and 2 strokes, love ‘em all, yet the Varg just feels so friendly and natural (look at me sounding like a hippie), and ….easy. His came with the foot brake and he changed it to hand brakes, which he likes better, usually practices at 45-50 hp modes….anyway, go give one a try, if it’s not for you, oh well…..
That is why you’re slow. You should just buy the bike 🤣
A guy I ride with has one and he always has to pack up and leave earlier then the rest of us because the battery is toast. I think if they had a longer battery life it would increase demand.
Or he could have a generator and a charger no different than bringing gas
I think the guy you ride with doesn’t have a generator that has 240
Significantly different then bringing gas. Have you seen how fast they charge at 120v? It's not fast.
