Still Eli and Chase if both can go. J-Coop would be next in line in my opinion
Eli and Chase will be switching brands so probably won’t race. Put Deegs on a 450. Kitchen 250 and Jcoop 450. Probably the best team. AP just doesn’t deliver in the 3 times he’s been.
This is the likely order. JCoop is the best alternate. Love AP, but he can barely hang on for 15 minutes right now... Something is up.
ML said on one of the recent review pods that Eli might be racing a star bike at nations, and that this might be Haiden's last 250 mx race at nations. I agree with the JCoop pick and reason for not picking AP.

What’s the issue? If Eli and Chase don’t race, that puts arguably the best performing riders in MXoN for team USA, without going back to guys who have been and didn’t perform.
Eli, J-Coop and Deegan it is then. I’d be very happy with that team. Australia will still be tough to beat, but I could see Deegan having an amazing race and placing significantly higher than whoever Australia picks as their MX2 rider.
ML said pre-race today that Eli and Deegan were likely per Pelletier. So the 2nd 450 is Sexton (seems unlikely), JCoop, AP, or RJ. AP has been having a little trouble lately and both JCoop and RJ have been stepping it up. Right now it’s solidly JCoop in my opinion, with RJ getting better by the week.
Mathes is adamant that Star and Eli will work it out so he can ride the race on their bike.
His Joe Dirt schtick is wearing him out.
Don't blame Star. They sent Eli and Fat Boy last year. The stuff about them not wanting to go was bullshit concocted by The Princess to excuse Haiden 'Merica Deegan for not going - twice.
Eli, Sexton, Deegan…especially if Sexton has the speed he showed today in that second moto….Eli deserves it based purely on legacy and willingness to show up in the past, and is still one of the two fastest Americans on any day…Deegan is obvious, and with his attitude I think he will absolutely rise to the occasion with a chip on his shoulder just to lay wood to the MX2 GP guys…
It will still be tough to beat Australia…but it’s very possible, if Eli can keep less than 2 MX1 riders between him and Jett, if Chase can beat Hunter, and Deegan can beat whomever the MX2 rider from Australia is…USA could win it (with no bad luck…knock on wood).

Jett would have them covered for Australia most likely. Possibly giving Australia the edge for top 2 riders eith Hunter being thereabouts with Chase snd Eli. But Deegan as rider 3 is a huge advantage for USA.
Listening to that interview was almost uncomfortable. Guy seems like he cannot stand being on that team, to the point where he can't bring himself to do another race with them and give his bosses the satisfaction of racing MXON, even with the race being a few hours from his hometown. Seems personal, not just bike setup issues. Would love to hear the real story someday.

Dude, its at the end of Chase's interview, and Chase was the first interview, with RJ coming on at 10:25. Just FastFWD to about the 9:00 mark. Admittedly, the Chase interview was hard to listen to, my wife even commented on it while she was making breakfast and I was listening to it. There is NO freaking way Chase rides MXdN. That dude wants to part ways with KTM so bad, it's blatantly obvious. I don't know what has transpired to create such disdain, but it's clear he's not in a good place with that team.
No AP, he hasn’t preformed like we know he can, he doesn’t preform under pressure.
