This is horrible news . Gutted for his mom and dad
What a terrible loss… he seems like such a fine young man.
That was a tough watch, he looks a lot like my oldest Grandson. This is truly heartbreaking.
Brandon Layton and Brett Downey as well.
Bruce bunch, Rick hemme. You must be new to the sport

Darkest day in motocross is an amazing article. Happened a year before I was born. I don’t think it has anything to do with the thread as they were killed in a car wreck.
Was going to mention Brandon.
R.I.P, left a beautiful mark on this world, you’ll truly be missed
I was going to add Brett Downey #38, until I saw your post. Downey raced against and with Eli Tomac. The Tomac's had a small #38 on Tomac's front # plates for a long time thereafter in Downey's honor.
Shane Kelley #556 too. You might know his name as well by looking at your screen name.
Yaa ran my first race at Starwest in ‘95 when I was 4 yrs old. Not sure what being new to the sport had to do with this thread tho 🤷🏻♂️
To the OP:
The sport of Motocross does not suck. Losing someone to fatal injuries from riding or racing dirtbikes is what sucks. Motocross, like all sports, is a broad spectrum of emotions and thoughts/feelings. From the highest of highs with getting a holeshot, to leading an entire race for the win, or from coming back from last to first, from winning an overall after 2 motos, to winning a championship, regardless if amateur or pro...to the lowest of lows, from friends that have had life altering injuries to those that passed away from riding or racing motocross. Life, like victories and losses, happiness and sadness, health and injury/injuries and loss of life can be inordinately fickle. IT is best to do what brings you happiness. Whatever it is that revs your heart, ignites your mind and sparks your soul. Regardless of whether it is a part time passion, obsession or full commitment to motocross for the love of it, riding and or racing dirtbikes out of love is an unrequited love. It is this "unrequited love" that brings us together and binds us as a motocross community. This is why for the most part, our community is a tight-knit one...especially when we lose a rider/racer to injury or their life. To all the racers who are now in the great beyond, may they ROOST IN PARADISE. Heartfelt condolences to the Family, Friends and Extended Motocross Family of Aidan Zingg, #39 Team Green.
Well said sir. Rest In peace young man.
So terrible. Godspeed..
Absolutely gut wrenching. Ride in peace young man.
Man what a nightmare for those parents. We all say our condolences and acknowledge the danger. But we all assume that it will always be somebody else, never us or one of ours.
Thoughts and prayers to the family. Rest in peace young man.🙏
Makes me sick thinking about this. I cannot imagine if this was my son, and my mind won't let me think about that possibility. We are pretty much done with moto now and there's a good part of me that's ok with that. We had some amazing highs and some dark days too, as GreenMach257 says. It's part of the sport. But deep down I know it's not worth the risk that comes with modern bikes and tracks.
I don't pray, but I'll send positive thoughts to his family and friends. I hope they heal, in time.
When I saw all the posts, and the one photo in particular of his dad holding and kissing Aidan's head (after a good moment), I just started to cry. My sincere love, prayers, and positive vibes are up.
Pit Row
Very well said. I’m on the opposite end of the spectrum. I have a beautiful 8 month old sitting in my lap smiling in front of my track that I’ve been debating on flattening and hiding all evidence that I ever participated in this sport. We’ve had had too many devastating injuries and deaths in this soort recently.
I hope the family can find peace. This is something no parent should ever have to deal with.
My condolences to Aidan's family and friends.
You're in my prayers.
We do need to slow down the bikes. Every motor sport does this. For Motocross, it is long overdue.
RIP Aidan & condolences to his family and friends.💔
God speed young man.
So sad, condolences to the Zingg family
RIP Aiden
Condolences and prayers to his friends and family. I simply can't fathom.the pain they are going though in this time, tragic.
Hard to digest. Kinda shocked, sad, and I don't even know, maybe numb. This sport is so risky. Literally every lap you spin, something very devastating could happen. Racing just adds to that.
Condolences for the Zingg family. Something the parents will never get over.
Rest in peace Aidan. Prayers and condolences to the Zingg family and friends.
Pretty cool that Aidan knew all the details about making power on his bike:
I got a small glimpse of who Aidan was from the Keefer Testing ‘25 KX250 launch video he and his dad did. Even with that small glimpse it was apparent to me that Aidan was a great young man. That is also a reflection on his parents and family for raising him to be that way. I lost my 16 year old nephew a few years ago in a car accident. His death forever changed his parents and they struggle with it to this day. Just terrible to loose someone so young. God bless Aidan and the Zingg family. I will keep them in my prayers.
Everything Ive ever seen of this kid is that he was wise beyond his years, super well put together, hard working, honest, genuine, VERY respectful, he was a superstar in the making. He was one of those kids where you could tell right away he was raised the right way, but on top of that was just a genuinely great person. I know its cliche to say all the great things about people after they pass, but this is one of those kids where he was all of that and more. Huge loss for the sport and even bigger loss for that poor family. I feel absolutely heart broken for that family. I hope that something like this never happens again.
As a parent, this is heartbreaking…Positive vibes to the family dealing with this tragedy …be strong…
