2026 Yamaha YZ450F | Hydro clutch, new frame, and more

Man, that front end is still ugly as sin. YZ 85 on front of a 450.

That front plate is atrocious..

I like the color scheme a lot. Wonder if the Star bikes will stay blue? Looking forward to a good test.

And yeah...they need to ditch the ugly front fender. 🤮

Well, at least it’s not BNG. 

I predict Cycra sells a LOT of Stadium front number plates. 

Edit: the updates seem to target the common complaints I’ve read about. Probably a very good bike. Look forward to reading the reviews.

Side panels look the same as 23-25 but with black at the bottom rather than all blue..

No changes to the 2026 YZ 2T line except for the new white plastic anniversary edition.

my initial thought is that it looks bloated like they tried to replicate the original yz400/426.  This, just shortly after they had the beautiful '93 throwback bikes.

Thought it was a Fantic at first glance! Stadium plate and Renthal bar pad are purchases one and two. Excited to try and buy! Curious how the nissin unit will feel. I have no complaints with the cable on my '23.

Why do they always put black rims on the special edition? I get it's subjective but you're paying more for different colored plastics and imo get wheels that don't look as good

The hydro clutch master cylinder looks like it sticks way up.

Personal opinion, but going to radiator shrouds like the YZ250’s would be an improvement. 

 

I think it's the best 450 available, but it's still fugly. 

Umm Yamaha has had those rear side panels much longer than the Honda. 

Agreed, it is the one thing that drives me nuts about the latest YZs, the shrouds look like they are pouting.  They should take note from the latest KXs, they look clean (IMO).

Very ugly bike.  Front end reminds me of the PW80, and the shrouds look like the pig-ish ~2010 era.
