Especially with Hymas out.  What a bummer.  This outdoor season is getting a lot less exciting by the minute.

Seemed to have a small crash (but got back up again) just before the checkered flag came out, was pointing to his knee after the finish line, apparently not looking good

Visibly in tears after the race as he was laying seated up on the table clutching his knee.

Gutted for Chance. Already tore up both knees and now another knee injury.

Man that sucks if chance has done his knee again. Accumulation of injuries so early in your career like this can completely derial it

Then why isn't everyone hauling ass and getting inside the haulers?

I would guess they don't taking it all that serious but they don't make the rules.

The majority of the storm cell had passed them when they red flagged it. If you look at the Radar it had passed them. What was coming was much lighter rain and less chance of lightning. Oh well.

Look at the radar all you want. That storm was wild about 10 mins after the red flagged it. Wasn’t any lightning until 10-15 after the red flag.

So, are you saying they made a good call, that they overreacted, or that they could have waited 9 minutes?

Does anybody really want to see a motocross race on the news where multiple people were injured or killed by lightening?

Some people’s common sense on safety goes out the window when it’s not them or their kids in that situation…

Imagine this place if a freak accident happened and a rider was struck by lightning during the end of that moto?

“Wouldn’t happen!” But it has in the past…

I’d say good timing. I’d say it was a good call. We had no idea why they stopped it. I never heard any thunder or lightning at all til then. By the time we packed up our chairs and everything and started walking out, lighting was pretty dang close.

Red flagging it was the right call.  Pretty intense storm.  Unfortunately the mandatory evacuation resulted in vehicle collisions while trying to get off the greasy hills.  Meanwhile 25 minutes away at our hotel, it never rained.....

Actually would have preferred more time to get out because it was a little scary with the lightning but it’s tough to say they should have called it sooner because there were several storms that popped up throughout the day but missed us. They actually did warn over the loudspeaker a few times that inclement weather may be rolling in but it never did til 450 moto 2. So I’d say they made a good call when they did. 100% should not have let it go on any longer though.

I hope so! Its going to be epic. Good to see Deegz getting starts like today. He's going to need starts like that to hang with Jett. I dont know if he'll ever be the sx rider Jett is but I think he'll be right there in mx almost immediately

Would you like them to deliberately lose to appease your feelings? Wiould you like them to retire so you wouldn’t have such emotions? What is the point of your comment? Imagine being that miserable that you don’t want to witness the best to do it every race day. Sounds like a you problem to me and if you are suffering that hard I would suggest you stop watching the racing until you get yourself fixed. All the best with that champ.

What makes a season like this fun is that you have Jett and Hayden performing at such a high level that I get enjoyment watching each moto hoping that somebody outright beats them.
Nothing against those two riders but they have set the bar.
It wouldnt matter if Tomac was winning every race, then I would like to see somebody else knock him off thw top step.

At least Jett has 4 guys up there competing in that tier.

Not sure how Hayden stays motivated. He truly seems like he is on cruise control. I do not see anybody stepping up.
I am hoping that Chase will step down to the 250 class and give Hayden some competition.  Im a chase fan but I dont think he would keep pace, difficult to say.

The 450 races have mostly been intriguing from gate drop to chequers. With Hymas out there's nobody that I see who can beat him straight up in a moto

I dont get Tim Cotter saying this was the 48th year of racing here. I raced the nationals at Hi Point in 1979,1980. Do the math slappy.

They started in 1977. No event in 2020. Thus 48th race. His math seems right to me.

I did the math. It amounts to the first race would have been 1977. Does that help?
