It definitely is a problem that for whatever reason this one generation of guys filled out the 450 class for a long time, not sure exactly why that happened but after rv and dungey guys started staying much later in age and the natural churn of guys was pushed back 5 years until now. It may just be that the sport is adapting to this new normal and after these guys go the turnover rate returns back to normal just at a higher age. Another problem though is a lot of the next age bracket of guys didnt pan out...

Vital is not a true representation for much other than ill-informed opinions, and a strong dislike (to the point of embarrassment) for Haiden Deegan. Had Hunter lapped Deegan twice, the vital pack mentality would be very vocal about it and all the, “it’s a mud race” would be replaced with, “they all lined up on the same gate under the same conditions” and “0-23” bullshit.

Say what you will about this race but the 2 x defending champs won’t have their top riders there. The country has only won this event twice. They said they would be healthy scratches. No one misses Round 1 of SX, MX or MXGP as healthy title threats. If they were paid, I have a feeling this would be the off season race they attended. It certainly is not a charity race for Infront.

I don’t think riders should have to pay a dime out of their pocket to race MXdN. I also don’t think sponsors should be able to use the patriotic images in their ads unless they kick in financially to help fund it (not just providing product). Maybe I’m a flawed guy but it would bother me to spend $10-20k to get myself and family setup across the planet and see companies who sponsor me using those photos for ads to market their products for free.

They use the guilt of patriotism against the riders so THEY CAN PROFIT. The THREAT...that they can paint a bad picture of the rider not loving his country...knowing that ENOUGH of the fanbase...will not think for themselves and believe this bullshit is real.

The problem is the race is more focused on the countries, and with the mixed brands on a team it doesn’t put an emphasis on the brand. It shouldn’t be up to the manufacturers to foot the bill for MXDN. I do think there should be a decent purse, but it shouldn’t be up to the manufacturers. IMO the manufacturers already foot the bill to much in this sport.

Did anyone with eyeballs actually think 38 was going to step up to the 450s and start winning? Have they not been watching total domination by Honda? While the 38 may have wins in the future, Honda being so dominant over the experienced field should have been a clue as to how 38's 450 career would start. It's a work in process, if it's the bike, they'll fix it, if it's his style, they'll fix it. It's not just a jump on and things are the same. TM

Nothing wrong with the bike, it's the way it's being ridden - rev limiter almost 100% of the time like his 250 days, makes it very difficult to ride smooth imho

It's almost always about the money $$$$$$$$. He's good on camera and knows his way around the bike. He can explain things extremely well. Watching an MXA test video hit 200,000+ views generates a lot of revenue and its passive revenue, not a 1 time check. The video is done and out there, and the checks keep coming in every month. He probably did the math, realized that he's the one doing all the work, and wants a bigger piece of the pie. We all would do the same. I wish him the best.

Josh is a natural in front of the cameras. Down to earth personality , knows what the heck he’s talking about and always professional. I’m rooting for him
