I truly think if he was on the KTM still he would be right in the mix with Jett and Hunter.. When he is comfortable, he is one of the fastest riders on the planet

I think it's blue duct tape. Maybe to close off that part of the frame, which is normally open to the elements. Might have been a good idea at a sand or mud race.

5/31/2026 3:35pm Not too much progress. I have a crude home built sandblast cabinet that I can assemble/disassemble in 10 minutes. I hate sandblasting. Got the frame, subframe,both hubs and handlebar done.

You could order the bikes back then with different forks (and thus clamps). Paoli conventional, Ohlins, Paoli USD, Marzocchi 50mm etc...

Hey y'all! After a few years completely off due switching to cars working as a technician in Hyundai Motorsports WRC, I felt the itch back into dirtbikes since i'm back in Spain, so its about time I get back to the ole old days of wrenching in MXGP and in the US down at MTF. 5/16/2026 11:31am Did a little bit of polishing today. Start with a soft brass brush. Then wet sand 800, 1000, 1500, and 2000. Then a tiny amount of Mother's mag and aluminum polish on a red polishing cone on a drill. Buff with a microfiber. Each stand takes 10-15 minutes.

Winter had us doing a full ground up resto on our ‘07 CR85. This thing is brand new from the tits on the tires to the grips. Still looking for some of the old goodie parts if anyone has any leads on some, let me know. We are currently racing this unit and the thing rips!
