Ok thanks. Working on a set now. Lots of things to do/make inc. flipping the lower clamp like you have done.

Yes, i had to just make my own stuff. I made extras if you need anything?

Tires finally arrived. Got the front wheel on last night. Planning on installing the rear tire and wheel on the bike tonight. Then I will finally have a roller.4F1653E1-21C6-48C6-9D00-BC797688B24B.jpeg?VersionId=0Wvb8tsJ

Tires came in and I finally got the wheels on. Little bit of a challenge but I got everything to work out in line up pretty good. I had to do some custom work on the wheel spacers. Good thing I have a leave… Lol  We’ll have to do some work on the chain tensioner.

Also, I contacted my good friends at Throttle Jockey. I grew up racing motocross with them. They are working up the graphics and all the decals for this build. I can’t thank them enough. If anybody ever needs graphics or decals done contact Throttle Jockey

So I got the graphics kit in from Throttle Jockey.
I installed it on the bike and I’m very happy with it but we are going to rotate the side panel numbers a little bit clockwise to straighten them up slightly.

Also, I got the carburetor, completely vapor-blasted and rebuilt ready to install.

Yeah , its nice to see the old forum format to showcase a bike build. It's like pre facebook days.

I was able to get the carburetor properly installed last night. Getting ready to configure a custom airbox for it. That will be a big project. Will have to install the exhaust pipe before that can happen though.

Started working on the seat last night. New seat foam and seat cover coming. Taking apart this whole seat was really challenging. There was literally 1000 staples holding the seat cover on a case of extreme overkill.

So I spent yesterday evening, mocking up the last remaining parts like the exhaust pipe and silencer, inner fender and left side panel to be cut to fit around the exhaust pipe and silencer. Just making sure everything fits before I do the final assembly. Also, I will be painting the exhaust pipe and silencer Black.B8D1A410-A40E-401D-92DA-20F1B5E7DBCB.jpeg?VersionId=eGF242EB6C-294F-4BD5-8502-1DBD91401563

I received the chain and front sprocket yesterday I was able to get them installed on the bike. I also received the new seat foam and seat cover. So I will be able to build the seat. I took the pipe off and painted it yesterday. Looks like I will be finishing the bike this weekend.

Will you be finishing up the airbox as well, will it be aluminum? Looking real good.

Will you add an aluminum chain block bar to protect the fox air shock?

Great build btw...a dream bike for most of us when we were kids.

Anyone remember the mxa cover with the $40,000 works bikes?

Your build is in that category!

Yes, i will be building an aluminum airbox for this bike. I need to get all the parts in place to be able to do all the measurements for the custom airbox.

At this point. So most of everything around the engine area and associated with the engine was just a mock up. This process takes a lot of time to where you have to put everything together to check, fit and finish and then take it back apart several times. So this past weekend I tore everything back down to build everything for real and for the final time. The first part was to assemble the top end. NOS Mugen cylinder and head. Brand new piston, and rings. And all new gaskets.
