This x100. Get it while you can! You never know what can happen and when a DNF might strike.
Nah he's grey rocking. He's wisely refusing to fan the flames. Don't bleed around sharks.
Ok Paul.
You keep telling yourself that little buddy.

I guess you’re right, that’s not fair to Friese.
He didn’t brag about it. Friese didn’t get Monster Energy personal sponsored / Deegan family friend RC covering for him. The NBC TV crew covering for him. I could go on and on.
😂😂😂 tin foil Paul333. Hilarious watching you squirm.
Congratulations, Haiden Deegan! 😆
The pass was fine. I’ve seen Barcia do worse for 10th place lol
Ayrton Senna approves of that move.
Curious how Star Racing management/ownership views the incident. Star was winning the title regardless, and they have invested heavily in both Deegan and Davies. To unnecessarily put one of those assets in jeopardy may not sit well with the folks cutting the checks.
The Deegans are fantastic marketers and their success is undeniable. The public, however, can be fickle, and managing public persona is tricky. Haiden is crafting a bad boy image, which is fine, but he’s still playing on the JV squad. He’s teed himself up nicely for a rude introduction by the varsity boys.
I thought it was an unnecessarily aggressive pass on Davies, but Davies not only left it open, but he swung way outside, almost asking for it.
I ponder what would happen if next week, a bad batch of main bearings launches Deegan's rod into section 212 on the first lap of the main, and he scores 0 points. That questionable pass will turn into a championship move real quick.
IMO the reaction to Deegan's move is less about the pass itself and more about a failure to "read the room." You can't take what people say at face value.
When Sexton, Coop, Stewart, McGrath, whoever roughs someone up at the bitter end (not saying they all did, just naming example riders), it might cause a stir, but because fans still love them, it's viewed as "he did what he had to do". The fans know the baseline of their character and can rationalize it. The riders are likable in their own ways, and someone who is likable gets away with a lot more.
The problem with Deegan is, to an average person, he is unlikable. He goes out of his way to antagonize others but shows mental weakness (e.g., storming into the Kawi tent and leaving with his tail between his legs) the second things don't go his way. He's also just grating to listen to - he speaks like a TikTok comment, which he mostly uses to describe how good he is ("they just mad that I'm 'Him'"...lol, really?), his "strategy" to "mess with" people or how much money he has. It's obnoxious and cringey.
When you're already unlikable and do something negative, the world jumps on you ten times harder. In this case, the Jack Doherty of SMX cleaned out a phenomenal rookie rider that the audience seems to love. Whether or not it's "fair", the reaction is extremely predictable.
I have to laugh at the Vitard mentality. "Moto is a physical sport"! "Rubbing is racing!" "It was for a tranfer in the LCQ!" but when it is Haiden and he gives Davies a gentle elbow to CLINCH a week early it is disgustingly awful!
It’s not the move for me. The move was fine, but for those saying “you didn’t have a problem with Zacko when he did way worse”, it’s not the same. It was winner take all, and the guy wasn’t his own teammate 14 points back. I would expect it then. My issue was the speech. It was cringeworthy.
Attitude is everything. Deegan is a badass on a bike. But he’s a douche in person and his inability to emote in a likable way makes him repugnant when the helmet is off.
I want him to lose more than I want him to win and I suspect I will feel that way about him all the way up to his retirement.
Then we’re going to have to put up with his douchery in four-wheeled sports.
Bobby probably loved that shit and will use it to motivate Davies
I just cant get on bored with the silverspoon boys. The thing Ive always loved in the sport was the rags to riches scenario earned through talent and grit.
JuJu and Deegan are soft rich boys who think they're tough b/c they're fast on a dirt bike. Kinda annoying.
Maybe its because they only have those post covid emaotions - no rage, no frustration, no hate, just synthetic version. Its the lifetime of fearing failure and dreaming of winning that made all the epic shit the old dogs have seen through the years. Thats where the F-you passes and hard payback comes from. I dont want the gypsy million dollar fantasy version moto - Its soul less.
Thats why Deegan isn't my guy. His pass wasn't dirty, it was soft. That wasnt Zach-o. And Cole needs to work on sensing that shit and cutting down or backing out (staying on two wheels so he can retaliate) - which will happen. Kids awesome.
Wonder how many on this board would be a top guy with a good with a supercross track in your backyard and unlimited resources?
Shits not wrong. Brian earned that for his family. Doesnt mean I cant root for the kids who came from nothing. I cant relate to Deegan and fuck you because Im not rooting for people who can win from the easy path.
Pit Row
Section 308 was loud boos and some dude behind me kept screaming “a$$hole”. A few people were cheering as well. Felt like we were at a professional wrestling match.
Did I want to see Davie‘s win, yes. Was I also thoroughly entertained. Yes. I’ll take the spice. It keeps things interesting. Danger Boo, and the Righteous Deegstones
If he had said something like how you framed it, it would be a way different situation. It's not necessarily the pass itself, it's the attitude after combined with the lack of absolute necessity that soured it for a lot of people. As other have said pretty well, it just gives off bully/punching down vibes that just aren't well received to a lot of people. Got the same vibes when he broke Schock's collarbone and was laughing in his face when confronted after.

LOL! How long have you been watching SX? That wasn't a punt.
Did Deegan even make contact with Davies?
He barley grazed Cole's swingarm. But with the momentum it rolled Cole right off the berm.
It certainly by any means wasnt a Bam Bam blast.
You guys ever notice Deegan tries to park riders he is threatened by? He is threatened by Davies because the kid is faster then him most of the time. He tried to park JB23 a few weeks ago when he was clearly faster that night and could have just passed him on speed alone, but JB23 is capable of being faster and beating Deegan. He doesn't do it to anyone else in the field. He comes in and gives them a good bump and then looks back to see if he was able to knock them down. You hardly ever see someone look back like that.
"Deegan block passes Davies which causes him to go off track and get stuck behind the berm to Clinch!" is a bit wordy. It was the most exciting part of the night, it needed a good title.
When we talk about how fast young guys are these days, we need to remember that Trey won his first THREE SX races ever, and then pullde that badass move on RV, one of the best ever, and it was RV's third year. Goddamn Trey was good.
Some of you need to get off Vital and go listen to some post race interviews with Deegan. He knows he needs to reel it in on the podium, he knows he and Cole will be fine, he says he will talk to Cole about it. All words from Deegan himself
We need a "villian" and Deegan is that. I can't stand his shift eyes, telling fans to suck it, and continually saying ridiculous crap on the podium.....but I am here for it and wang nothing more than for him to get worked outdoors. The rivalries make it better.
They practice together. They'll be fine. A 3rd year 250 rider at the top of the class just taught the rookie a lesson. Cole will learn from this. Kid is a weapon
Honestly that just cements my opinion, I watched the swap interview, and yea, he said mostly level headed things, which means he does know the stuff he does/says in the limelight is "part of the show".
I'm all for people just being genuine 100% of the time, not making clickbait/playing a character.
